Not just for the body. It also has tons of benefits for the mind too. I found that I was able to concentrate and think clearly after a good workout, especially running.

I believe high intensity cardio is most effective. Get your heart going for 10 minutes then slower then back at it. I find it most effective for calories burned and overall getting fitter

Personally, I find my mind is much clearer when I run, bike, or swim laps, and meditation comes easier as a result. Mind you I practice Calisthenics, so cardio is fantastic in addition. Unfrotunately, I can't swim much due to a healing piercing, but I certainly run about two miles every other day, with rare breaks.

Yes ropes are great, especially at long intervals. If you're getting a sweat worked up, you're doing it right.

My mind my breathing circulation the works! All feel so much clearer and opened with things like that! Swimming is a particular favorite!
