Conor McGregor Scandal

For anyone interested in what I have to say about Conor getting arrested for attacking Khabib Nurmagomedov's bus, here goes;

I'm not going to defend him (much), but there WAS a reason he flew across the world and flipped out, like he didn't just do it randomly. Khabib and a bunch of his mates surrounded Conor's buddy Artem Lobov in a club and started pushing and threatening him and being like "nuuuh wheres McGregor now?!" and Conor flew halfway around the world to fuck them up in return.
Everyone is saying like, why didn't he just settle it in the octagon, but I get why he didn't. Khabib made it personal. He took it into the real world, questioned Conor's honor and resolve, and threatened his friend outside the normal bounds of the UFC. It wouldn't sit right with him to commercialise that; it started outside the octagon and had to be finished outside of it.
Obviously it went too far with the window getting smashed and everything, like that could have been really really fucking bad, someone could've been blinded, but in all honesty if I'd heard what Khabib did, I would have called it that Conor would risk his fucking career to fuck him up. I'd say that smash was probably an accident, and if not it was at least the moment Conor stopped, because imo he probably just wanted to make a big song and dance and scare the shit out of Khabib to save face without actually hurting anyone.
As well as all that, you can take the lad out of Crumlin but you can't take the Crumlin out of the lad; he may not have been a gangster himself (as he says) but a load of his mates are, and he couldn't be putting up with shit like that because he'd lose respect over here. May seem stupid but Conor is an Irishman and if you question an Irish man's honour and threaten his mate, you're gonna get fucked up ya Russian bully piece of shit.

Anyway. I often say we're just vikings with i phones, and that's not really a joke on my part. We're barely civilised in most parts of the country, especially in the Wild West places like Tallaght and Crumlin. Appi would say we need the Romans but, tbh, I like us just the way we are x'D

Cool. UFC just makes me think of men having sex mainly, like how they are rolling around and whatever. Its nice they took it out of the sexual context and started to fight a little differently than this:

Do you have an article about this incident or video, because I don't follow news or politics or sports or UFC. Day and night its just magic magic magic, offline online everyline.

I didn't really emphasise that I'm not defending him, I understand why he did it but it was still fucking stupid and he could go to prison - he might never be able to fight in, work in or even enter the States again, like its a big fuck up and it went way too far.

Its terrible to lose a profitable career over some feuding petty childish thuggery. Thank you for the link! On the sunny side, maybe it will spare his brain from getting fried from constantly being abused and punched, this fighting stuff is total crap, I think its horrible to be punching people in the head and hurting each other.

Well I like it, but I do get that it's stupid. I understand why someone would hate it, but I think some people are born to it and if that's what they want to do let them, everything is too safe and sterile these days, the warriors need some kind of outlet. And for all the homo-erotic moments there are plenty of superbly masculine, vicious moments too

Yeah, I think its at least a somewhat formal outlet for aggression, and a civilizing agent to put it to rules and try to keep it from real killing and stuff. I find it utterly unethical and vile though to cause pain or harm to another, so I'm of the philosophy of speaking out against any form of violence and violence promotion in general or bodily harm and suffering causing. It even has the aspect of winning and losing and gambling and criminality in its background often and its overall just a totally vice riddled thing, pretty much evil incarnate to me, like Roman blood sport, but without the killing, still most likely with the permanent damage as well as immediate pain and aggression cultivation in themselves and viewers.

So if someone, like lets say my child says they want to bash faces for a living and have their faces bashed and kicked in as their way to make cash, I'd say they are a seriously sick little f*ck and not allow it, which would probably lead the little tard to bide his time and rebel to pursue their dream of having their body damaged, feeling and causing pain, and in the end getting so much terrible karma and accumulating so much sin and evil that they burn in hell, in my view. A true loser.

It would cause me pain also to see someone I care for have their face bashed in and bashing other peoples faces and not being sharp enough or ethical enough to have a problem with that at all. Anyone who can walk up to someone and wack them and cause them pain is in my view a total psychopath or sociopath with no empathy and worthy of the quickest death possible for the betterment of the world.

Sounds extreme that I'd want violent pain causing males and females to die as soon as possible and all lose their "careers" of harming, but really its not wrong seeming at all to me to want an end to violence and sick people.

That's a pretty damn strong opinion, especially since you've basically wished death upon your own hypothetical child, like, a lot of people would consider that the psychopathic view.

Also, pain can be a source of pleasure, I have a lot of friends in the BDSM community who would disagree with your stance. People like to experience their bodies in different ways. You wanting someone to die for the way they want to experience their body is definitely fucking wierd imo.

So a guy threatened his friend and he chased that guy down and gave him a shaking?

That is respect in my book.

This world is so whiney and weak, it should just be silent when men and women of honour settle scores.

Mr McGregor showed that he had honour and defended his friend, that is rare, and in my eyes he did the right thing.

That's what I'm getting at but it went too far, a window was smashed and someone got injured (not Khabib himself) which I don't think he actually meant to happen anyway

True, but stuff like that are bound to happen at confrontations like that.
It was quite likely a stand-off where two people could not back down, and then things just escalated.

While it looks bad on paper, I don't think it went too far, as it is just bound to happen.

Now, if someone was thrown off a building, that would be too far. Happy

I don't say it could not have been handled better, because sure, it could, but I don't think anything out of the ordinary occured from what I've read.
