Dead Animals & Fur

I have a serious question for those who advocate for animal rights and other such things. I know that most people in that space are against real fur clothing due to the fact that the fur comes from animals and the inhumane things done to them to get that fur. But what if the fur comes from a dead animal? Is that ok or........?

You sold your soul to me, need I remind you?

Presuming here the animal was already dead - not being killed by the hand - then I don't see a reason why not.
I think the only hiccup people and fur clothings go is about the endangered-ness of it, or the practices used to obtain the furs (sometimes when the animal is alive, even).
If I found some cool road-kill and it had good fur, I wouldn't mind using it. Hey - it didn't go to waste.

My problem is with the actual meat and fur industry, which I think is disgusting, but I see little to no objection to people using fur (etc.) from any animals found dead or from ones they hunted or trapped from the wild themselves.

forgetfulness is fleeting.

Exactly, what Hagen said!!

And just a note to North Americans, is that if you want such things, there are plenty of aboriginal owned businesses that produce and sell fur and parts ethically, legally and it is part of supporting their traditional lively hoods and treaty rights. I buy mine from a Cree company from Northern Ontario. furriers on the other hand and factory farming is atrocious.

I feel like if you hunt the animal, through hard work and determination..... or most of the time luck ;^) I feel like it is not only your right, but your duty to make use of the animal in which you sacrificed

I agree with the rest of the posters here, if it's already dead, why waste the fur?

Yep. I collect roadkill feathers, claws, bones, etc. I have a fox tail somewhere. Now, i did bury a bobcat. Cats get buried. I always bury the dead feline.
