It is not at all similar to flying ointment..... It isnt even an ointment.

I have drank it many times though - often in Peru, but also where I live. I host retreats with Ayahuasca in Peru every year - going back in a few weeks....

Shamans dont use the term astral projection. They just call it journeying into the spirit world. Some of them will differentiate journeying to the lower, middle and upper world....

Ayahuasca is mostly used for learning about yourself and medicinal plants and for healing the sick. It is also sometimes used to aid hunting or for tribal warfare, though both of these practices are much less common then they used to be....

Ah, I'm sorry :/ But thank you for the explanation! ^^ Now I have learned more things about this potion
Actually I'm planning to buy one, so you said that you have drank it many times, right? According to your own experience, did you really go on journey to the spirit world after you drank one? Or it only worked sometimes?

I think you might have some misconceptions about Ayahuasca.....

Are you planning on drinking on your own? If so, this is a very serious undertaking and you should be researching and planning for months or longer before attempting on your own. I know people who harmed themselves drinking on their own and gave themselves permanent PTSD.... This is a very powerful brew. Usually people drink it in a ceremony led by a shaman (called an Ayahuasquero). The shaman protects the ceremony space, helps introduce you to the medicine safely, and also provides healing and energy work during the ceremony.

Traditionally the clients dont even need to drink Ayahuasca.... The shaman drinks so they can see your illness or energy and sing to correct or heal it. People can be healed just from being sang to even if they dont drink the Ayahuasca.

Ayahuasca is a vine - the tea is named after this vine. Many westerners think of Ayahuasca as being the vine as well as another plant called chacruna. Chacruna has DMT in it and will make the vine more visual and powerful, but it is not necessary for Ayahuasca. If you are drinking on your own it is usually best to start with either the vine alone until you get more experienced, or start with very small doses till you get more experienced.

You may leave your body or you may not. You may have visions and insights or you may not. You may puke or you may not. It will effect each person differently and will be unique each time you take it. Usually the goal is healing or personal development. Even if you dont have visions you may experience healing - especially if you sit with a good shaman. Some people who drink on their own dont seem to get as many benefits as those who drink with a shaman.

If you want to learn more about Ayahuasca I suggest you read the blog on my website soulremedy.org or check out one of my books:

It is an interesting medicine and teacher for sure. I personally prefer San Pedro and psilocybin mushrooms, but I still have a lot of love and respect for Ayahuasca. There is certainly something special about it, and even though it is so nauseating, there is still something seductive about it as well....

Why do you doubt the efficacy of these particular ointments?

I'm particularly interested in hearing more about the first one, Matt456 - you mentioned you had success with regard to this ointment. Can you please expand on this?

I have certain techniques for astral projection and decided to include this is my routine. It greatly amplified my practice. I rubbed this on the veins on my neck before lying on my back and going to bed and experienced sleep paralysis for the first time. After a couple more tries I awakened to the sight my ceiling in front of my face before snapping back to my body. I got it for the price at the time but I'm sure they're are way stronger ointments out there if you shop around.

You can't cage this bird.. I'm gonna spread my wings and fly. You feel me?
