I want to start this thread in a hope to have all of our poets on this site share some poems with everyone. I enjoy good poetry and I'm sure there are people here who do as well. Mind you that all of my poems are copyrighted, and I have no intention on stealing your poems. All the ones that I'm posting are poems that I make for my love, so I won't even bother stealing or copying your style.

O Sara, your beauty is divine
with the brilliance of the cosmos
like the sun it does shine.
Your love for me is grand, my life it swallows
whole, consuming my heart and mind
leaving me a shell not empty, but filled
with love, our souls entwined
ready for lifetimes of love we build
our existence as one.
Counting, counting the days 'til
we're together under the sun
but yet still your love is
my only light.
Forever yours, forever mine
everyday, every night,
you love I shall always enshrine
for you are divine.

The Hermit, F.R.C.

"There is nothing so inspiring, so filled with peace, happiness, perfect health, joy, and contentment as the development of the spiritual nature."
- H. Spencer Lewis, founder of the Rosicrucian Order, AMORC. 1915.

"If you find me hiding,
You'll know I'm riding -
With the Moon;
In the sweet night.

If you find me roaming,
My bones are yearning -
A place to call home,
Wherever is where I go.

I'm under the Trees,
I'm walking to my beat;
I'm in tune with nature,
I could never be happier.

When I'm in the Mountains,
Rain flowing down carved fountains,
I'm resting in the flowers,
Where nothing matters."

There's one of mine.

Nice! Happy
I like it, it makes me feel serene and at peace.

Wide eyed Magi is what I see,
a triple moon, I count to three;
~
One, a maiden, fair as silk
and sweeter than honey-milk.
Listen to her songs that she sings
your mind enchanted, its echo rings,
causing the moon to rise and grow.
~
Two, a mother so sweet
her splendour knocks me off my feet,
I watch as she pounces on me,
her prey, human toy, mistress is she.
Our fruits ripe, harvested once the moon's full.
~
Three, as the moon hides away,
I keep this reformed hag at bay.
"Back! Back! I'm repulsed by your looks!"
this enchantment fades, my desire unhooks
as the once beautiful being
is now something I wish was not seen
I run and hide,
but in the morrow, I shall in her reside
again to continue this cycle.

Very simple, but effective :)
All poetry is appreciated by me, it's all beautiful and a wonderful form of art.

Good one Magari ;P
And I like yours GuruWithin c: Very three-aspecty :smirk:

"I ride in the Night,
With Diana - the Moon;
But on a bike -
Not a broom!

I fly to the place
Quiet under the Stars;
Under the Tree
To do my wonderous Art.

Diana of the Night
Can you take me away?
Your witch-son has come,
to you to Pray!"

You guys need more bukowski in your lives.

This poetry makes me wanna puke....

Hell is a Lonely Place

he was 65, his wife was 66, had
Alzheimer's disease.

he had cancer of the
mouth.
there were
operations, radiation
treatments
which decayed the bones in his
jaw
which then had to be
wired.

daily he put his wife in
rubber diapers
like a
baby.

unable to drive in his
condition
he had to take a taxi to
the medical
center,
had difficulty speaking,
had to
write the directions
down.

on his last visit
they informed him
there would be another
operation: a bit more
left
cheek and a bit more
tongue.

when he returned
he changed his wife's
diapers
put on the tv
dinners, watched the
evening news
then went to the bedroom, got the
gun, put it to her
temple, fired.

she fell to the
left, he sat upon the
couch
put the gun into his
mouth, pulled the
trigger.

the shots didn't arouse
the neighbors.

later
the burning tv dinners
did.

somebody arrived, pushed
the door open, saw
it.

soon
the police arrived and
went through their
routine, found
some items:

a closed savings
account and
a checkbook with a
balance of
$1.14
suicide, they
deduced.

in three weeks
there were two
new tenants:
a computer engineer
named
Ross
and his wife
Anatana
who studied
ballet.

they looked like another
upwardly mobile
pair.

I based that one off of the Triple Goddess, but no I'm not Wiccan. :) I just appreciate the symbolism and beliefs.
That was good one as well :D

Well I like my verse style very much thank you ;P
Meh, I just can't get into that other style of poetry that you gave as an [example]; it's too erratic for me, like, I read it with a bunch of pauses and it doesn't "flow" - and with me - I like my poetry to roll off the tongue, er, mind. I like it to flow~
