It seems too cartoonish for me plus they use it almost exclusively in those teen witch books you can get from Barnes & Noble. So every time I see it spelled with a "k" all I think of is spells to "Get an 'A' in math class" or "Get the hot jock that sits in front of you in chemistry to ask you to the prom" or "spell to get rid of acne". I prefer the regular spelling, magic.

Yeah, Shadow and TGK pretty much said my feelings on it as well. "Magick" makes it seem like you're one of those "edgy" new-agers, or an illiterate person from the 1500s.

Same with "vampyre." Ugh.

"He who fights with dinosaurs should look to it that he himself does not become a dinosaur. And when you dinosaur long into an abyss, the abyss dinosaurs also into you." - Dinosaur

My specialties are dinosaur working and dinosaurism. PM me with questions on just about any dinosaur, I'm a paleontologist.

Personally, I think if used in its correct context (occult-related topics), it's fine. Though, for those childishly using it to seem sophisticated, not on.

Understand what it means and once u have the meaning u can throw away the label, it doesnt matter how its spelled. Take the understanking of the speaker of the label to the object.
Else is just a personal bias based on conditioning and this bias is only going to limit yourself with your own prejudice.

Although, one is grammatically correct in certain contexts, whereas the other is not.

the only differences between the words are the ones created by yourself or accepted into your mind
in essence itself it has no meaning
you associate the meaning

a cup is a shoe is a hat
