Jeez my grammar sucks tonight.

Take everything with a grain of salt, and a mound of hope.

Yeah the genre is a bit of an acquired taste. I was deathly afraid of screamo as a small kid. That, and rap with sirens in it.

Take everything with a grain of salt, and a mound of hope.

Lmao that is adorable xD I was about 16 when everybody moved from metal to emo to screamo and I was just still on metal. I've softened up to some emo since but I just hate screamo, I don't like it and I don't get it. Sounds like mental illness being enabled Tounge

Eh, depends on the band. If you look up system a down, or thy art is murder lyrics you'll find that a lot of those songs that sound like somebody deep throating the mic are actually deep and political.

This is the only song I can think of at the top of my head.

I love SOAD but I would not in any way call them screamo.. They shriek a bit but it's not the same genre... And being honest for me the lyrics are only a part of what makes a song good :/ for me, overall aesthetics are very important and screamo just isn't my bag :/ I didn't mean to down it so much though, I'm just biased because nearly everyone I know who liked screamo was an eejit. I agree with the message of that song though.

Oh no I get it's not for everyone. And true about system of a down. It's just Chop suey was my first song by them, so that's what always comes to mind.

Take everything with a grain of salt, and a mound of hope.
