ingredients:
potatoes
endive
butter
milk
salt
smoked sausage
gravy.

cook the potatoes with salt and mesh them with milk and butter. cut the endive thin and mash it all together. heat the smoked sausage and gravy.
on your plate create a volcano like mountain of mesh and pour the gravy in.

this food doesnt really look appealing, except for kids, but its wholesome and yummie. also its very grounding food. so after a magickal day it gets you immediately back to earth whether you like it or not Wink

I had to reinvent this dish, going vegan, and I finally worked it out to my satisfaction. Soy milk instead of cow's milk, vegan butter, plant based "gravy" (Vetara juspoeder), an alternative for the meat (Vivera spekjes instead of the real deal or the smoked sausage). I don't use any salt in this, but I do add finely chopped raw onions, black pepper and piccalilly. I probably use more endive than potato compared to the dish in the picture as well. But yeah, this is great Dutch food.

Grilled chicken thighs. One and a half for me, half of one for my cat. Wink He's getting old (15) and deserves healthy treats.

I'll probably make hamburgers later. Being an obligate carnivore can get pretty boring. :/
