Hi. Some of you might recognize me from other forums, livejournal, etc. Hi to all of you. This introduction is for the rest of you, who don't know me yet.
I grew up in Memphis, and have traveled all over the US and a few places in the other hemisphere. At the present time I live under a hill on a tiny island in the Salish Sea, where I own a jewelry store.
My background is literature. If I had not gone into fine jewelry, I would be teaching some of you how to enjoy Beowulf and Benito Cereno. My passions are all among the sciences, particularly astronomy and geology. I am an avid collector of gems and fossils.
I like to paint, and worked for several years as a sculptor under Bernard Passman. I also make illustrated "Medieval" style manuscripts, children's books, and comics published under several fake names. My real name is John.
My introduction to the occult came from a variety of sources, including my mother and her astrologer friend, an an exorcist in the Diocese of Memphis. As a teenager, I spent a lot of time with Native medicine worker, and a curriculum based in Golden Dawn ideas. Since the late 90s my singular obsession has been Solomonic work, particularly the Lemegeton.
I assume that none of us, not me or you or anyone whose books we might read, none of us really know how any of this works. It is more interesting to me to see what people do with it than what they think they know.
