Currently, I am trying to work the Lemegeton, using a mostly by-the-book approach.
The Lemegeton contains instructions for: 1. creating sigils of the spirits using specific metals (e.g. gold for kings, fixed mercury for presidents, etc.), and 2. creating the Pentacle of Solomon using gold or silver.
The Lemegeton says that the sigil of the spirit should be written on the back of Pentacle. I am confused by this, as to my mind this can be interpreted in one of two ways: 1. There should be a sigil of the spirit made using a metal proper to the spirit, and a separate Pentacle of Solomon made using gold or silver with the sigil of the spirit written at the back. 2. There should be a Pentacle of Solomon made using gold or silver. The sigil of the spirit should be made using a metal proper to the spirit, and the sigil should be attached to the back of the Pentacle.
There are also no instructions in the Lemegeton as to how the sigil or the Pentacle is to be used per se, (as opposed to the Hexagram of Solomon, for which there is clear instructions).
I do have some additional questions: In the initial ritual, what do you do with the seal and the pentacle? Do you wear the pentacle around your neck? In that case, what happens with the seal? Do you put it on the altar inside the circle, or inside the triangle?
