First: Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I’m new here and so you can tell me how wrong I am with impunity.

I noticed a difference between what Jesus said, and what the Church was teaching.

“Saved By Grace” or “washed in the Blood” means all of your sins are forgiven by the Bloody Death of Christ.

But Christ said “Forgive us as we forgive” meaning that forgiveness is conditional on us doing the work of forgiving, and he did not say it had anything to do with his death.

But conditional forgiveness is rejected by the Church as “Works Theology”.

So it appears that we must either believe Christ OR the Church.

What did I miss???

Thanks.
