I am also glad to see the forums back online, but I sort of feel it should've waited until basic forum features were back in place (editing posts, embedding video/images, private messaging, etc). This feels like a frame work to me, and I'm not sure how this type of threaded forum will work on topics that end up with dozens upon dozens of responses. I'm hoping I'm just being silly and it doesn't become confusing. I'm a programmer, so I get wanting to build something from scratch, but at the same time constantly re-inventing the wheel has it's own set of downfalls.
Not trying to be super critical, just not sure how I feel about the current state of the forum. I'm stubborn tho, so I'm not going anywhere.
I agree nothing much is happening now, but I'm really hoping it will be like before. I'm slightly disappointed with the voting arrows, reminds me of reddit where elitist people only vote for snobbish things against posts where some sincere people are genuinely trying to understand things, so ask stupid questions.
