I'm new to this site- HELLO EVERYBODY!! THANKS FOR HAVING ME!!-- Anyhoo, this video was one of the first things I saw....My first thought off the gate: Oh my, I'm so relieved this dude was banned before I joined... Also, what is really strange to me, the thing I am having the hardest time grasping is, Why would he think that anyone watching the video would believe he is a "grand wizard" I think he said..?? It's so OxyMoronish wow... I don't know of a wizard or witch I have ever encountered (online Nor in person) that would speak so lofty of themselves-NONE! Because genuine Magick folk are amongst the humblest you'll meet :) <3
I can't believe he thinks people will join his new group in droves. Or that he was banned, because he said he was going to start a new site. Like a 45,000 member site was scared of a would be start up from a guy that took a whopping...hundreds or thousands of people. Yeah, right! Plus, banning him wouldn't stop him from doing that, so, that would be a totally illogical thing to do if they were scared of losing members....as if no one here could be members of both.
Also, with this kind of behaviour/enormous ego and lack of consideration of others.....what would the rules at his site be, "Follow the rules, or I'll hex you." ??? Sounds inviting.
And...that part where he says he's going to eventually be spending time only on himself....isn't that was this is?
I was new before the site went down so no clue who this guy is but he should have hexed the mods instead if he could, instead of taking down the whole forum. Taking the whole forum down shows he has no regard for budding magicians or people who are genuinely interested in occult.
That video shows well what real knowledge the guy had. As for helping build the forum to what it is, there were thousands of other guys who helped without breaking the rules too. The rules won't mean anything if they are not for everyone. If it's expected a new member to be banned for breaking them, there's no reason it shouldn't be expected a long time member to be. As everyone knows, we had very few rules here compared to other forums, people even complained we give too much freedom to users. However, on any community I lead, the rules will always apply equally for everyone.
Well, as a fairly new member (about a year in) I really don't know about that kind of drama. But I tend to not live in the past and look at the future so I am staying here at the Forum and will help make it grow again. Plus a lot of the more seasoned practitioners I personally know keep things on the down low and never really get upset over things like this. But to each his own I guess.
I can understand being mad, but I didn't have anything to do with it, and I'm pretty sure a lot of newbies and other members had nothing to do with it, why should we all suffer for personal conflicts that nothing to do with us? It seems immature when you don't care about how many unrelated people are affected by your personal vendetta.
As for going to shit, I honestly only got here like a few months ago, so I can't judge much on the decline in quality. I came here for knowledge, most of that's gone now because of his hex, so... I'm more than a little annoyed.
Once everything is ironed out, spammer crud is blocked, and we can pm, have groups, edit posts, link stuff without long html addresses, etc I’m sure more and more old content will be put back and maybe streamlined.
There were so many threads on the same topic and so many trolly posts (was a bad duck myself). I’m liking this rating system and noticed it can go to negatives. I really hope it floats and sinks threads/posts to top and bottom. The OP should always be bolted to the top no matter what the rating.
I like Anthony and I sympathize with his troubles he posts on youtube. He’s a family man that honors his blood family and that’s the most powerful magic imho.
Much respect and more so (he lives in expensive New York I think).
