I have talked already in other topics about having allies and here is how I worked with walnut as my ally, in combination with Jupiter magic to ensure prosperity, gain wisdom and protection. Because it is about building a relationship with a tree, it is a method that takes time. Why walnut in tandem with Jupiter? The walnut is in Latin Juglan Regia, derived from Jovis Glans, nut of Jupiter. And in my youth I learned that a walnut in your pocket provided good luck...... This method in the tutorial I developed and tested myself. I hope to inspire you all to work with tree allies and to give you an idea how to combine magic methods with bonding with trees. Every time I visited the tree, I had vivid dreams and even lucid dreams. It was a wonderful process.
The Walnut produces juglone which is toxic to other plants. The knowledge of walnut toxicity dates back to Roman times. Pliny the Elder noted a poisoning effect of walnut trees on all plants. Juglone is the dark color in walnut husks. Initially colorless, juglone becomes over time very dark brown. In addition to the juglone, the husk of walnuts, like many plants, contain tannins. Iron combines with tannins to produce iron compounds, which are black, and the basis of gall inks. It is the ink that what is needed for this magic. So that is why have to add the nails.
Another part of the magic is the Kamea of Jupiter, a 4x4 magic square. 4, 16, 34 and 136 are the nummers that are important for this magic. The Kamea has 4 rows and columns. There are 16 numbers in the Kamea. Every row, column and diagonal is 34 adds up to 34 and 136 is the number of all numbers together.

Now the method:
- Find a walnut tree in your neighborhood. It has to be a tree that is easy accessible because you have to be able to visit the tree regularly without being disturbed.
- Visit the tree a year long every waxing moon. Do this right after the tree started to drop the first walnuts. Bring a little bottle spring water with you as an offer. Try to connect to the tree, offer the water, meditate and write on the ground under the tree with your fingers your intentions. Sweep out before leaving. Leave the tree without looking back. Journal everything when at home.
- Collect at one of those moments a branch from the tree. Peel of the bark, sand it. You will need it for stirring and afterwards you need to use it as magic wand.
- Make from not dyed wool fabric a mojo bag, sew it with biodegradable thread and store it till you need it.
- Collect after that period 16 walnuts WITH their husk and then the ink-making starts:
- Put 15 of the walnuts complete with husks in a pot, crush them a little bit. Ad a handful rusty nails in the pot. Pour over fresh spring water, cover the nuts. Simmer for 4 hours on a low heat. Peel of the husk from 1 nut, let dry and store the note till needed.
- Take the pot, let cool and let it soak for 16 hours. Stir every hour with the branch/ wand you collected. Stir clockwise. Let dry the wand.
- Sieve the concoction, heat it but take of the fire when boiling. Cool down, add 1 TBS Arabic gum and 1 TBS natural vinegar.
