I only get it when Intend to as mentioned in previous post, when I pull in or push out too hard it gets extremely uncomfortable. More like an electric feeling, I can see why it’d be unsettling if it hit out of nowhere especially intensely.
that’s pretty cool though that atleast you got that area going intentionally or not, if you focus on that feeling you had in a relaxed state you can probably bring it back although may be way less intense at first, over time it will feel as strong as you had it before if you learn to pull in or push out the energy (this is in a relaxed state not using any physical muscles)
If you are interested in trying to bring it back and are able to see what other areas you can spread it to, then if you want you can look up what chakras correspond to the ones you can’t feel and try to activate them through rather actions words or thoughts, possibly with Mudras, mantras and focused intention. Or more physical and intention acts and more sincere words. I just recently got it to be a lot less subtle in the heart region and it still feels a bit foreign. Meditating for a long period had me feeling more individualized areas in the 3 main centers which was interesting, but hard to duplicate. Otherwise it’s like a mash of upper-middle head, neck/throat to heart and mid section to groin.
I hope that helps you or anyone trying.
I've recently had a new experience with receiving energies. This was after my typical ritual, but ended with some time dedicated to praising the sustaining energies that kept this life-giving environment going.
It was after experiencing that reverence that I felt my head untense, like it became a sponge with tiny holes relaxing open all over it. Then as though the holes were inhaling, I felt replenishing energy pour down into them. My unconscious labled the energy as a mid-toned blue, and likened it to the experience of receiving Mana.
The energy felt vitalizing, calming, and blissful. I felt like an empty, still bowl being filled with cold pure fresh Springwater. This went on for about 15 minutes.

Amazing experience! It’s interesting how many different ways there are that energy presents itself to people that are able to recognize it, from the extremely subtle to the more intense, it sounds like you were truly in the moment and were in complete sincerity and acceptance. Very tranquil indeed!
Energy is visual for me, spirals of light, ascending, descending, flowing over the ground, pulsating, in different colors. I always saw this, it was there my entire life. It can be disturbing sometimes, especially when I am tired or have to focus on other things.

I just was re-reading these messages and noticed you said top of head, I wanted to ask if you meant a sensation between what people call the crown and third eye.. ya know, where you feel it around your head did you get a distinct feeling in that area, like slightly below that line (Although the middle part or third eye - I suppose encompasses all of those parts on the top part of forehead and brow, but to feel them distinct of each other is just an odd sensation.) kinda like the throat and back of the spine. Distinct but same general area. I tried other places to see if it was more psychosomatic but nothing came close. It was just the usual feeling of the spread of energy, I’m interested in the cold aspect you mentioned, could you elaborate?
When @HoldAll mentioned heat I couldn’t feel it in that manner before trying distinct areas and I see @IllusiveOwl mentioned heat in the head area like a wick, and now I’m curious as to that aspect, as when I finally did get the heat sensation I’d liken it to the heart was the wick and the heat went upward and then I was able to spread it more, it hit uncomfortably where after a bit I tried to calm the heat down the same way as I do the electrical feeling and it didn’t quite work, i even contemplating on walking outside in the cold to take a few breaths. But instead focused on how it felt when it dissipated naturally. I still haven’t gone back to “embrace” the heat sensation but I can still feel the “heat” in my heart area.
So I’m curious if you could elaborate on the cold aspect, as well as if you feel distinct areas within the 7 main energy areas and do you think the wave sensation is distinct or the same as the fluid motion?
Hearing “taste the energies in the mind” is a unique concept I haven’t heard of from someone else so that’s interesting as well, it’d be nice if you could elaborate. I know it can be hard to describe personally felt experiences as it seems so foreign, regardless even if words are lacking just a general concept may be helpful.
Thanks
Hmm have you noticed anything that can intensify or desensitize the visual energy?

I've had many weird sensations over the years, in the third eye/crown chakra, somewhere between, middle of the head.
From hot to cold, to some layers dissolving over the chakras.
These days this is how it goes: whenever I'm doing the "spam", working with mantras, hot texts.
It starts giving me a special sensation all over the forehead, somewhere inside and the top. About like the sponge effect but without the sponge in between, with a taste effect.
The third eye feels like a chip, microchip somewhere inside. Then the top of the head is a receiver, and so is the forehead.
Oh yes, you can feel distinct areas when you keep processing energies all the time, eventually it will unlock. Then something else unlocks.
Looks like there are so many levels and it could be different for everyone. Although it seems to be quite similar for many
It feels like your head is a bowling ball. The main areas get polished to a point that the paint disappears (forehead + top), pineal gland or something is inside the bowling ball.
Like @IllusiveOwl said. There's a sponge like effect and feeling how something blue colored goes through, blissful and cold, pure fresh springwater.
Some of the energies with what I work with feel like blue/gold colored, blue/silver, and or green (hmm...).
Now I think that the next level after that is when the sponge disappears and it starts coming through doubled, tripled, even more. Either the holes in that sponge get wider or it completely disappears, no more sponge.
I've been in a state where there's no barrier at all, with everything cutting right through. In fact it comes in so hardcore that it leads to pains at some point.
The high is ultimate, it's so high feeling that you can't believe it's happening. I remember some cases where I could not believe it, total ecstasy, maybe lasted for 40-60mins. I suppose it's the ecstasy some Sufis talk about. I always get a "high" from the practices but the 40-60min cases were mind-blowing.
The feeling that you can taste them. I suppose the receiver levels up and you unlock the ability to sense them more, taste them, flavors.
Then all the practices feel like getting high from something. This includes the Tarot cards that give you a "taste" in your head while using them, and energy in palms while holding.
Yes, the wick, candle burning in head. You could call it like that too. Also the electrical feeling, tingling, yes this is probably how you can describe the level before @IllusiveOwl 's sponge effect.
It's a bit hard to describe these sensations yes, finding the right words is difficult. I know how to open these senses, force them open, but you must be in a hermit cave monk mode for a long time, min 3-4 hours a day.
You said something about calming the heat down. Here's the strange thing, I never tried/try to calm it down. I just keep smashing and pounding over and over again. That's what caused me a lot of problems for a long long long long time. When you keep cooking with the heat, without grounding, without calming down, it will force the channels wider and more open, until the layers disappear. A few hours every day. Later it's like snake venom effect, you have injected yourself with it for so long that it no longer overheats, for me some energies are like this, high stamina.

Right. I might as well add this description.
I feel that my mind is loaded with reflective mirrors, all over. Mirrors everywhere. Energy starts coming from above, "light"
this light reflects between the mirrors, heating up the mirrors and they start glowing. The chip in the middle (third eye) starts heating as well.
So there's a mixture of both hot and cold. Something hot, something cold.
In this process something else gets triggered, ability to "taste" them, flavors. There's also a certain feeling like "this thing is blue colored"
blue/gold, something. Different colors.
Yeah I’m familiar with that, although not common it can occur, replicating it would be nice it’s random even if I do the same meditation. But… I’ve focused on the electric sensation so long and wasn’t really open to other kinds I’ve been slacking in that regard it’ll come in time as I’m more open to practicing feeling different sensations.
That’s why I was interested in the “cold” I was thinking more of an icy sensation than refreshingly cool blissful sensation, but if it is one and the same then i understand the reference point.
As an aside to this, what do you classify the goosebumps sensation as ? I’ve had someone claim to be able to send energy and that goosebumps would surely follow immediately, and they did just that … anyone familiar with the link?

Hmm, I really haven’t experimented with trying to push energy towards people in a very long time, if you mean push/pull energy from within to cause goosebumps, that’s also intriguing…
so I can’t say from first hand experience - but I’ve heard of people feeling a very strong static when standing next to Guru’s so if a person can harness that energy to push it outward it may have an effect like goosebumps with a temperature shift and static charge. That was an interesting question. I wonder if anyone else has any insights.
