To violently install a regime where children were genetically engineered to stop foisting their "ideal form of government" on a world weary to the point of fear and loathing and about-to-spew Ueberdruessigkeit of such.
In my opinion, in its entire history, Humanity has not come up with a better model of government than the good old Council of Elders. The most worthy representatives of society make decisions for everyone else. Alas, this institution of government has not been used for a long time...
Actually, we cue splicers here merely yawn and sip our iced mochafrappechocolattes.. "An anarchist? How droll. No gods or kings? That has been tried, dearie, lo these past two centuries. Tried ad sanguis vomitum, may I respectfully add. Only man? Indeed. Which men? That's always the question, isn't it though?"

Truly a jest made in good conscience. True liberation of the mind and emotions brings about egality ad absurdum. Complete consensus achieved through reasoned debate and opined deliberation. Governments that remain stagnant and without change in reaction to their outside environment are destined to collapse, no matter how strong and deep their foundation.

Sometimes they collapse, but continue to hold power anyway. China by the Qing Dynasty, the late Ottoman Empire for its last century or so both come to mind. The Habsburg Empire after around 1848, too, though it gave way to a blasted bevy of largely dysfunctional statelettes that still need cleaning up. (My kindred are from Slovakia. You know, the country whose national hero seems to be a highwayman hanged at age 25.)
Something like a meritocracy based on knowledge, ability and morality, with clear and effective social lifts, with no prejudice and where knowledge, science, arts and even the occult are favoured. Would be a great idea to lower the voting/civil maturity age since some minority of scientists believe that children already have a critical ability and a fresh world-outlook. At least I have faced so many gifted children and youths, close to being child prodigies, and they are the future of each community. They need to be guaranteed monetization of each invention they create and full financial independence, even from their respective patrons. This might be unpopular but I think so ITBOMH.
Children?! In short order, pizza for breakfast and unlimited ice cream will become "human rights."
What is a "clear and effective social lift"? I assume you mean trying to subsidize equality of opportunity? Is the problem now that we deliberately set up ineffective social lifts? Seriously, the WHOLE question of aiding anyone is how to make it effective. Tagging in an adjective like effective scarcely amounts to a new insight.
You could have edited your post into an elegant epigram: "Gee, I wish things worked better."
Then vote Diamond Joe Quimby for Mayor, "It's Not His Fault Things Are Messed Up!"

Maybe we should stop everyone talking about his wildest wet-dream of a government. That gets egos involved and starts scraps. I mean we're talking principles there. Maybe we should ask, "OK, what's a government you'd put up with? Put up with and not bitch about too seriously." I imagine I could put up with a laid-back and slightly tawdry monarchy like Restoration England. Charles II, king by grace of convenience or divine lassitude. Take your pick and go revel with the Johnnies Wilmot & Drydem. Stuffing my face with roast beef and ale, papers with verses, and wenches with----never mind. It all beats stuffing ballot boxes and waxing pious about democracy.
I tend to lean towards my Democratically-Elected Republic based on the Constitution of the United States. The only changes would be more clarification AND agreement on the clarification of what was documented from the foundational writers and "ayes" who agreed.
I am also a fan of the old layout of the City-State set up from Ancient Greece, however much change would need to be made as to the definitions of a citizen, who has the rights to vote and would slavery be legal, etc.
if you ran things what government would you set up?
As society has evolved we threw off the power of kings and rulers (so we say). yet in 2022 the governments we elect decide who we vote for, waste our taxes, etc...and we demonize dictatorships when our history of interfering in other countries is no better, I think we just paint America as the greatest place to live, I love America yet we shouldn’t sugar coat history. It reminds me of history in schools where we make our founding fathers out to be Saints when Lincoln had racist views and Washington could be a grade A asshole.
imo if I ran things I would be an absolute dictator, having said that, people should have the right to over throw their government when it becomes tyrannical.
the reason for my choice is that people don’t seem to have the capacity to use their ability to vote in a responsible way.

Agreement on clarification might be a stretch. I am put in mind of Danton who did not want the then government during the French Revolution to guarantee freedom of speech. Why? Because, he explained, then you would have half the lawyers in the land striving to prove the law did not mean what it expressly said. Clarity is the enemy of underhanded agendas, and thus has a short shelf-life.
Effective socialism takes some serious authority to implement. This grows exponentially with every serious disagreement. It need not be violent, but it cannot avoid being far-reaching and intrusive. Which does not necessarily make it wrong; it does generate push-back.

Eventually (say in a quarter century or so) we'll probably have AI running things with a hologram of a wise and kindly monarch flickering on our implanted screens. Say a younger Whoopi Goldberg with a Mr. Rogers aura. (Maybe a different hologram for each important demographic?)
Someone has not looked at the more or less functional socialist governments in the world. I have lived under a couple.

My last post above was a bit snide. More to the point, I.S. Grossman-Roschin pretty wall blasted Kropotkin's 'Conquest of Bread' to crumbs in his 1924 "Critique of Kropotkin's Fundamental Teachings." Grossman is, among other things I find reprehensible, a bolshevik. But when a mensch is right, he's right. Briefly, he charges Kropotkin with confounding "non-coercive agreements" with "natural law." A confusion that undermines the whole project.
As for mutual aid, it does address problems. Whether this is the basis for a political entity is questionable. A large fund of social capital is presupposed. Which, in today's world as in most of the past, is quite an assumption. One that verges on question-begging. And, as nationalist ferment in Europe indicates, at some point the aphids start to chafe at the ceaseless influx of chronically indigent ants. Insects know when they are being milked.
In any case, as Maxime Portaz notes, in a consumerist society peopled by deculturated bipeds raised in an artificial environment, the form of government becomes pretty irrelevant.
Phase 1: Ruthless police state for 30 years.
Would dedicate a lot of resources to obliterate organized crime and corruption, restructure jails, send violent criminals and all scum to the grave, and petty criminals to the ball and chain, forced labor for the win. Brutalist, hard style OCD dystopia.
Phase 2: Populist dictatorship for 50 years.
Would focus on eradicating unemployment. Would enforce property sovereignty, right to arms and right to a home/job if very poor. Would rob the tech industry and destroy them. Would ban smartphones. Would encourage alternative subcultures to flourish and make people become hippies again. Basically would start a massive new age cult.
Phase 3: Total anarchy forever or until an asshole take my place.
Would vanish and leave people alone.
