What is the occultist point of view towards the rapidly accelerating breakthroughs that the AI industry has made lately and now they have already solved math and programming, will every knowledge eventually feel worthless to pursue or something far worse looms behind this advancement? I want to know is there any esoteric meaning behind this AI dominance

Yes woke people tried to make paedophilia legal so paedo billionaires are funding the guys in silicon valley to accelerate AI, already people are making a lot of money with AI catering to the fetishes of people (unbelievable ROI, I thought down syndrome was a medical condition but some sick guys get off to it and there is a creator for it).

Already sex robots are going strong and soon they will launch sex robots with cos plays from anime characters and people will forget the line between what is right and wrong, there is enough evidence from Westworld and Ex Machina.

Trump leading AI is to do the bidding of his paedo billionaire friends. Parents can only do so much to prevent their kids from falling into the trap but they can't be around all the time to protect.

Jordan Peterson so many years ago said porn was behind the advancement of internet and it may be true because now sex robots and AI fetishes are behind the rapid acceleration of AI.

Youtube doesn't care if a video is AI or real as long as people are seeing the ads.

I detest the exporting of using our brains toward any "Artificial Intelligence". I make a herculean effort to avoid it. Resultingly I am gradually turning my back on most technology (with the occasional pop-in to the forums here), choosing to go analogue into a private world.

I do not believe that the use of "A.I." will increase any true esoteric understanding (or any understanding, for that matter) - because one can learn knowledge and read any array of books, but unless it is applied and met with human experiences of growth, learning, loss and friendships, it can never become true wisdom.

We need to be met with challenge and adversity, struggle - in order to experience triumph; and the deep breadth of being a human being, and learning about the human spirit, is something that can never be matched but through living.

What do you mean by "feel worthless to pursue"? Most of knowledge already feels worthless to pursue for most of humanity. I sometimes feel it's worthless to get out of bed in the morning, yet I always do. Feelings, in the grand scheme of things, are mostly unimportant.

The narrative of the question is skewed by alarmism and drawing out reciprocal responses, but stripped of emotional reasoning the underlying question regarding the occult significance of Ai itself is good.

Civilly, dogmatically constrained knowledge may be worthless to pursue beyond historical reference. Since the democratizing of knowledge through ai may simultaneously undermine entrenched structures of power a dogma insulates, such as religious and authoritarian institutions. This frees up greater numbers of the population to new ideas and ways of living outside those controls, pushing the boundaries of the unknown outward into new territory and making new occult knowledge worthy of pursuit. We're still hunter-gatherers after all.

With the geometry of meaning, computer science has essentially mapped out an emergent, relational spatial architecture of human thought. That overthrows the Neoplatonic model of ideal forms and further erodes the relevance of its architecture of reality which has influenced and constrained occult philosophy.
With that higher dimensional relationship of meaning the nature of the consciousness and its emergence as one of the greater occult mysteries is being examined with a new, fresh, clearer understanding of the structure of reality that conforms to a modern understanding of physical cosmology.
Revealing a relational nature to reality where the emergence of consciousness in discrete forms can be understood in an evolutionary asymmetric positive sum. Including AI. Not only showing what is available to define consciousness, but also what is missing.

I think this is the wrong way to think about the pursuit of knowledge. I think it's more important than ever to truly learn things without such a diabolical entity stealing and regurgitating information (often incorrectly) from people, writing, and art to eventually block off the access to it-- which is something Sam Altman has directly said out of his own mouth in the conversation of making knowledge something humanity should have to pay for eventually. While AI has existed since the 50's, the current rise of the type they're pushing onto us is quite useless in the grand scheme and is destroying the planet at an even faster trajectory, which is something witches should be opposed to. I know I am, especially as a witch, artist, and writer that values my education and my work (and nature, of course).

I think that it only becomes "inevitable" when we all accept it as such. I refuse to, especially seeing how the cognitive decline has been spreading across all ages because they leave the critical thinking to ChatGPT instead of learning in a more substantial way. It's something we should find more disturbing than we do. It goes beyond what is being told to us by the billionaires that are forcing it upon us.

I dunno about "the occultist" view, but in my own view, technology always steps up to take over where magic had previously ruled.

Medicine, physics, pretty much everything that was once inexplicable or impossible were once the exclusive province of wizards, later overtaken by technology.

Most modern people have never encountered the concept of an LLM. Anybody who reads Tarot is using one, a set of symbols designed to encapsulate the whole universe. Now they use Chat GPT, but it's just Tarot with more specific answers.

Until recently, most people did not have any experience negotiating answers and actions with a discarnate intelligence. Now they have Ai agents, which from a user perspective operate identically to demons: they know your history and preferences, you sometimes have to trick them into being useful, and a lot of what they say is crap even if it sounds great.

There is no possible future in which billions of people are kept fed & comfortable while producing nothing. Anyone who tells you that Ai will bring an era of leisure is either completely ignorant or willfully deceptive. As soon as Ai can handle all the things that need to be kept running to make life comfortable for the 0.000001%, the rest of us are toast. Guaranteed.

At "this stage" of the game is it possible to change or subvert that outcome from your perspective?

Well, if this is how you "really" feel do you have a plan to change or subvert it, just curious?

My point of view is that loads of people don't like thinking and Gen AI is being pitched at those people, the same way that heroin dealers give a first free taste to reel in junkies.
Pretty insidious, huh? o_O

I completely agree with this. I would say that the impacts it has on our planet should be reason enough. I think that pushing for the consumption of physical media could help navigating away from AI.
Sometimes I wonder if shaming is something we need to discourage others and their use of AI? I don’t know. The cognitive decline and the hand it has in the already increasing literacy crisis has me concerned. When do we eventually lose ourselves and curium to this?

It's just more ingredients for the stew of societal collapse.

I'll also add we have forum nitwits who post responses using AI. A completely brainless and pointless exercise.

No. If it works, the global population will consist entirely of blueblood elites and their IVF-cloned slaves. They will exterminate the rest of us.

But... people aren't great at making things that work as promised. Most likely scenario is that the tech overlords get something almost useful but not quite.

We learned this from War of the Worlds. Nothing on Earth depends on one universal system, some inherent bug always undermines total takeover. The climate is many systems. The biosphere is many systems. Human endeavor is many systems. The systems of human activity that support so many people are highly resistant to fixing or harming on a species level. It'll never be Heaven or Hell without divine intervention.

Indeed people think AI helps with our creativity and there is a TED talk by some woman few weeks back which is totally ridiculous, AI destroys creativity. People will start losing their brain structures, even at work where if you want to put up a slide instead of thinking what to put and how to present ideas if you ask chatgpt it will make you slide too then you just tweak it and present it.

After a while you will be handicapped without chatgpt, this is clearly so evidently seen with kids, kids are struggling to read in schools in US and teachers are crying that they are losing patience with them.

Hollywood hasn't made one good movie in so many years except woke movies and many remakes as live actions of old movies, soon the superpowers would be 'reading' and 'comprehending' like how when humans were hunter gatherers some guy dreamt of animals and painted on caves and went in search of them, some rare ones in the future will write something that will become new commandments for future humanity.

AI is being endorsed by celebrities to adopt, anything that comes on TV or from the mouth of a celebrity is dangerous to our life and profit for some clowns.

The most shocking thing is all the people who are leading social media companies make it a point that their kids don't use devices or at max 1hr per day because they know the damage technology does to their kids' brains.

I abhor this shit more than most can possibly imagine, this is how I actually view "most" of these victims, er...people!
P.T. Barnum was right, there is one born every minute. This shit in combination with AI will make things much easier for the elite to further dumb down the sheeple. Breaks my heart!

I view AI like a modern day equivalent to the internet, or the steam engine. It's a technology which will change the way we all do things forever. But I do not fear it as an existential threat. Maybe "AI" in theory, like we see in science fiction with BSG, Terminator, or The Matrix. But what we have in reality is not the same as that, and does not appear to be on it's way towards that. I find it hard to imagine the AI we have today turning into an AGI, let alone a Superintelligence. In my limited opinion, there seem to be functional limitations on how LLMs operate which prevent them from achieving actual reasoning. They only produce a similitude of reasoning that has fooled enough rich and powerful people into investing so heavily into this AGI pipedream. But I'm not convinced that industry leaders actually believe it's an achievable goal using current methods, even the ones who say they do. They have to keep the hype up though, because as of today, AI companies account for 35% of the S&P 500's total market capital, and the global AI sector adds up to over $55 Trillion. What I'm much more concerned with, is this AI Bubble bursting and devastating the global economy, or at the very least the US economy. I think this is the fear driving a lot of this investment as well, because it's gone way too far for anyone to back out at this point.

In practice, AI helps people get menial tasks done much more efficiently. It's going to continue to cause companies to downsize their staff, and many job types to completely disappear. This includes a lot of creative jobs as well. It can write stories, and produce media in all forms, at a very high level, and this use of it will almost certainly achieve something completely indistinguishable from anything a human can produce. In many cases it already does, and even experts in their fields don't realize where it's being used. AI has the potential to be bad for the future of human creative ability, but it's definitely not a death sentence for it. There are studies which show that note taking through a digital medium engages less of the brain than using a pencil and paper, and leads to lower recall. Researches believe that this indicates a structural difference between a paper notetaker's brain and that of an iPad kid. AI is bound to have a more significant effect than the iPad in this example, but we shouldn't blame the technology itself. We don't blame the iPad, we blame the parents. I'm certain the invention of the chair made all subsequent generations of humans lose strength in some previously more developed muscle groups, but we don't blame chairs for not being able to squat. We have to take responsibility for ourselves and our children, but there will always be plenty of people giving away their ability to reason to a machine, the same way people always have. The vast majority of people will do so, in much the same way they have with the internet for decades, and with people in positions of authority since the dawn of time.

For most of us involved in the occult, we don't fit this character who's willing to give away their agency to anything or anyone. We don't take some authority's word for something, we want to know for ourselves. You wouldn't believe the water is holy just because the priest says so, you would want to know how and why we should consider it holy. And if not, you need to take a harder look in the mirror and take more responsibility for yourself, so you don't end up like the masses. In the same way, we should be cautious of believing what we generate using AI and taking it at face value. Fact check it on your own. Use it as a tool if you want, but don't rely on it as your only tool or resource. One major flaw many models share right now is that they will make things up just to tell you what you want to hear. Don't rely on it to be infallible. There is nothing that is currently "solved," not even math or programming. Having used AI assistance with both coding projects and with complex math calculations, I know that it is wrong a lot more often than a calculator or an experienced human. People will worship AI, and they will call it Superintelligence and put all their hopes for the future of humanity on it's back, and all of those people, in my opinion, are simply fools incapable of understanding the technology. "All of this has happened before, and all of this will happen again." ;)

Many people think to be the case but sadly itsn't, a technology has to do something which wasn't there before for people to adopt, internet was a revolution which brought world together. Honestly I don't see many good use cases of AI except in research (medical & scientific) and also finding out the likelihood of where oil is in the ground at some place, running models etc which is what earlier computers used to do and still do, AI does it only with slightly better accuracy.

AI does nothing more than presenting information nicely which earlier people had to read different articles and make up their own mind and now chatgpt becomes source of truth. People give credit to AI so much forgetting the information fed as models were written by humans and honestly last two decades of information globally on the internet is almost garbage, don't forget the dead internet theory which is an outcome of AI.

Can you imagine the garbage that is on reddit was fed into some models to train some GPTs considering reddit became so woke ever since it got a new look with Saturn symbology hoping to make people get hooked onto it?

Look up a particular topic on YT how every one acts like an expert mainly in fields where there are no authorities like spirituality, occult, new age etc. People readily believe into someone's opinion without using their critical thinking and this has been happening for the last 2 decades and got worse post COVID.

You may want to check out Roger Penrose videos on AI and how he says AI is not at all intelligent which I accept with all my conviction.

I don't understand how people are unable to see how stupid people have become over years ever since NF became digital it caused the entire world to go slightly dumber and continues to do, Tiktok and other social media made it worse, AI caused a nosedive of human intelligence.

The reason AI is getting more into the hands of people is not because it is something great but because it is purposely pushed by companies and people are getting dumber and it is a vicious cycle the more dumber people get the more they have to rely on AI.

I once heard somewhere Bill Gates controlled his kids exposure to "media" I have little doubt that's true. The amount of insidious B$ is absolutely incredible.
