Freemasonry. Does it actually have anything to do with the occult or is that just a conspiracy?

I'm a Freemason... There is a Spanish saying that goes "Every head is a world" meaning that every person is a completely unique universe of perspectives, thoughts and experiences. In that sense YES, WE WANT TO RULE THE WORLD. We want to rule ourselves, dominate our passions and submit our defects, all the imagery in a lodge is purely symbolic, we use those symbols as allegories for our teachings. as for the Great Architect, he is God, your God my God, anybody's God, the name used is a "generic" consented term to refer to the divinity you believe, thus not getting in arguments about religion.

And about that religion and politics are not forbidden, but it's forbidden to get into my religion is the real one and yours is not, same for politics

I have been considering becoming a freemason. After you said this, I should say it is almost a guarunteed course of action for me. Seems like my cup of tea. I also always liked the mission of brotherhood and charity

I have heard a lot of things about freemasonry from occultists and non-occultists alike. Non-occultists tend to tell me it is a secret political satanist group seeking to control the world. (I dont believe that in the slightest) and Occultists tend to tell me it's simply a community of high respect individuals working together with occultism to make the world better? I'm not exactly sure whats what though
Your friends are correct: "it is a secret political 'satanist' group seeking to control the world" and my organisation released the internal documentation of a 1941 Royal Arch Freemason handbook with commentary to prove it - in addition to Zionism, AIPAC, The Mossad, Epstein, ONA - RAFM forms yet another Israelite web that spans the globe intended to entrap people into supporting a global elite to fulfil a biblical prophecy. Feel free to msg me for the documentation.

My original post was a long time ago, and i was quite misinformed back then. From what I have learned along my journey since that time, the freemasons are actually very good people. You sir, are the one who is misled.

I just have to add... most of us try to be good people... if you join the brotherhood as you stated before, please don't be discouraged because a couple of brothers are not up to the standards... we are people after all...

I am in the process of joining my local lodge. While I made it very clear that I am a witch, occultist and ceremonial magician - which the Brothers there seemed very intrigued by; also mentioning there are other Magicians in the lodge. The meetings I've had to become acquainted with existing members make it clear that, while there is some general sort of ceremonial approach to things, it is certainly more about camaraderie, charity work and supporting community and improving oneself. At least, the lodge in my area appeared to be. One member aptly put it, "you get out of it what you put into it." They also did make mention that beyond the three degrees that are offered at a 'general lodge', the "side orders" that offer advancement through further degrees is where one's understanding of anything more vaguely occult-oriented would be had.
