I've been trying to astral project for two days in a row now. I try it after I wake up because honestly I'm too sleepy at night. The way I try to do it is this: I put myself in a coffin position, laying on my back, my body straight and my hands on my belly/chest. I tell myself that my body will fall asleep but my mind won't. I wait until my body goes numb. I can only feel "an outline" of my body. After that, I try to imagine/visualise moving my limbs one by one and then I imagine a rope hanging from the ceiling. I grab it hard, imagining the texture and the feeling of grabbing something in my mind. I try to pull myself upwards and think about my mind leaving my body, or at least trying to leave it.
When I was doing this today, I've started to feel a subtle but strange feeling. I've decided to focus on it and suddenly it spread to my body. I can't remember it well now but I could feel/hear some sort of buzzing or ringing. Aside from that, it felt intense, I could feel that it was something different. There were some slight tingling and maybe shaking. After a while, sunlight hit my face (it's cloudy so it wasn't hitting before) and the feeling slowly dissipated. I've tried to get the feeling again but I didn't succeed.
Was I on the right path or was it just some other sensation that happened while I was trying astral projection?
I've forgot to mention that I have a watch that can track my sleeping schedule somewhat accurately, and according to it, it most likely happened in deep sleep stage for few minutes.
