Anecdote: Liber Resh vel Helios

Here's an anecdote relayed to us from a mutual friend within the circle of magical people that my Wife and I moved in, and still do with some today:

Once upon a time there was a magical couple that had a small son in the 5-6 year range. The boy's father decided to introduce his son to some of the concepts of his personal magical practice. One day they were going through the Morning Invocation of "Liber Resh vel Helios" together, and when that was finished and they were talking things over, his son asked a Very Innocent Question:

"Daddy, if we don't do this everyday will the Sun Still Rise?"

The Priceless reply:

"Yes son, it just won't be quite as Beautiful though!"

I still Marvel at this TRUER than Magical Life anecdote!

Here's what I would likely give as an alternative to Liber Resh once someone was familiar with it, though the Egyptian pantheon is tough to be if it calls to you! ;)

The Solar Adorations of W.E. Butler

A simple personal discipline of remembering the Eternal Sun Three Times Daily.
The purpose of these Adorations is to develop Personal Spiritual responsibility
and to Infuse Daily Life with a Rememberance of the Light.

Adoration to the Sun in the Morning (upon Arising):

"Hail to thee, the Eternal Spiritual Sun, whose Visible Symbol Rises now in
the Heavens. Hail unto thee from the Abodes of Morning."

Adoration to the Sun at Mid-Day or... if you Will (High Noon):

"Hail to thee, Eternal Spritual Sun, whose Visible Symbol Stands at the Height
of the Heavens. Hail unto thee from the Abodes of Mid-Day or... Noontime."

Adoration to the Sun in the Evening (Setting Sun):

"Hail to thee, Eternal Spritual Sun, whose Visible Symbol Sets now in the
Heavens. Hail unto thee from the Abodes of Evening."

N.B.

Liber Resh vel Helios Sub Figura CC) by W.E. Butler

I'd like to add that I no longer do these as a regular part of my daily practice. I Did do them and Liber Resh for a Long time though. My relationship with the Solar Logos is Cemented!
I feel for someone Building a daily practice they are Foundational, and can't be Overestimated!
