While this is best done at an altar or shrine dedicated to the ancestors, this chant can be done at any time to call on their wisdom. This is designed to call on your ancestors as a collective, not an individual, although you could perform the rite and ask for one of them to communicate with you. When working with the ancestors, as with most spirits, giving them an offering will greatly improve your results. Even if you can't make it there and then, try to make one as soon as possible after. And remember, the ancestors will help you. Always. There is no need to force or coerce. Unless what you are doing is against what they stand for, they will not say no. Just ask.

Blood of my blood,
Kin and family,
Blood of my Blood,
Fore fathers and mothers who came before me,
Blood of my blood,
My ancestral line,
Blood of my blood,
Family of mine,
Blood of my blood,
Those loved and known,
Blood of my blood,
I know you'll never leave me alone,
Blood of my blood,
Those with forgotten face and name,
Blood of my blood,
Revered still the same,
Blood of my blood,
Running in my veins,
Blood of my blood,
Come from ethereal plains.

This is really a Great ancestral invocation! I'm working to adapt it whole cloth, or a large portion into my daily / weekly practice. I haven't always focused on the ancestral aspect as Much as I should. It must be the raw, gutsy, DNA appeal of this invocation, as well as acknowledging their Inner Plane presence! Likely, the Veil is thinning with the approach of Samhain too, what Timing! Lots of Synchronous events been happening around town lately! 🀘

@Yazata,

I thought I'd post this in gratitude for You posting this Great Invocation! This is one way to integrate it into a larger ceremony that Worked Beautifully! This is a patchwork of elements that really work well together!

Samhain Rite: Invocation with the Red Meal

The Ancestral Invocation

"Blood of my blood,
Kin and family,
Blood of my Blood,
Forefathers and mothers who came before me,
Blood of my blood,
My ancestral line,
Blood of my blood,
Family of mine,
Blood of my blood,
Those loved and known,
Blood of my blood,
I know you'll never leave me alone,
Blood of my blood,
Those with forgotten face and name,
Blood of my blood,
Revered still the same,
Blood of my blood,
Running in my veins,
Blood of my blood,
Come from ethereal planes."

Rite of the Red Meal: A "housel / husl"

Location: Indoors or outdoors.

Time: The Eleventh Hour of Samhain / Halloween directly following the Invocation,
or else Anytime!

Materia: Your cup/chalice filled with Red Wine (or juice) and your plate containing a
small loaf of "sabbat" bread or cakes..

To begin, hold your hand above your cup and make the sign of the equal-
armed elemental cross three times, in Electric Blue/White Fire, saying aloud:

"I bless this wine/juice in the name of Dominus Umbrarum and Regina Pigmeorum,
in the name of the spirits of the land and the spirits of my ancestors."

Next, hold your hand above your plate and repeat the gestures, saying:

"I bless this bread in the name of Dominus Umbrarum and Regina Pigmeorum, in
the name of the spirits of the land and the spirits of my ancestors."

Now lift both the cup and the dish to the sky and say:

"I offer this wine/juice and bread to the spirits as a token of my gratitude.
As we partake in this meal, I honor and strengthen my connection to you, the
Old Ones."

Commence the ritual feast, eating and drinking while Communing and giving Thanks
to your spirits. Split the bread, leaving half upon the dish for the spirits, and eating the
remainder. If working outdoors, pour half the wine/juice upon the ground; otherwise,
drink your half and leave the rest for the spirits.

After the rite has ended, leave the bread and wine upon your altar overnight
before disposing of it, or composting it in the morning.

<snip>-----------------------------------------------------------------------------</snip>

N.B. This composite rite "may" result in "frissons" like electricity All Over!

The ceremonial wine offered was Mulled Red Wine. -> This Stuff is Really Good.

SABBAT BREAD or CAKES:

11⁄4 cups boiling water
1 cup oats
1⁄2 cup butter
11⁄2 cups honey
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
13⁄4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
3⁄4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1⁄4 teaspoon nutmeg
1⁄4 teaspoon ground ginger

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. In a bowl, pour the boiling
water over the oats and butter. Cover the bowl with a paper towel and let
stand for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, mix together the honey, eggs, and vanilla
in a separate container. Next, add in the oat and butter mixture, flour, baking
soda, salt, and spices. Place the dough in a well-greased bread pan and put it
in the oven for approximately 30 to 40 minutes.

Adjust any or all of this to suit yourself! ;)

πŸ‘ Good stuff.
I have to say though, as it might not be entirely clear: all the love is appreciated but this is an Archived post from the old WF and not my own work.

Yes, but You have made it Available for All to benefit thereby! You're too modest! :ROFLMAO: I wouldn't have had access to it otherwise.
