Blood and use of it in runes

I found a website where folk give vials of blood (theirs or a loved ones) and the person makes art out of it. One thing on their site were these runes that were made out of resin with the person's blood inside. How might using blood like this affect divination? I don't plan on getting these runes but I am curious what people here think in regards to this question. My guess is if it's the person's own blood it would create a stronger bond with the user. I also would think itd make interpretation for other people more difficult but that is just a guess.

Blood of a deceased loved one seems like a very cool way to communicate with them. But (I think) it would then probably be best to only use the runes for that purpose.
