Let’s assume there is a love spell that requires a pink candle. If we don’t use a physical candle but instead visualize and manifest it in our mind and then light it through visualization, would the spell be as effective as with a real physical candle?

Visualizing and burning a candle in the mind sounds like an awful waste of mental resources, not to mention holding continued attention toward that visualization. Considering most of it is mental magic anyway, burning a candle doesn't verily matter too much as long as you are mentally equipped enough to perform the spell. Physical aids such as wands and candles and stones are just tools. If you find it helps you, then use it. If not, then don't.

People who are adept enough with casting a circle, for instance, don't necessarily have to take the time to draw it out every single time they want to do an operation. With enough practice they can do a quick 'zipping up' and suffice to the same ends. For example.

If you are worried about whether it will be as effective, then it won't be as effective.

My vote: it can be as effective, but, the candle helps.

Ask this way: are you as effective spellcaster without a candle as you are with the candle? And that will answer your question.
