hello hello I'm not done lurking yet but I like this webbed site a lot already.....

now I've got a question right at the start – in the books section I saw that DMCA requests are causing a wee bit of trouble, and I'm fairly proficient at casting cyber-/online spells, so my question is: how do people feel about posts that include site-wide protection spells? cos if that's allowed I'd use my actual introduction post for it, further down in this thread. call it a community service lol

otherwise I'd just make a regular reply to this thread and introduce myself properly without the spell included

I have no objection to a site-wide protection spell, but I'll defer to others who are the mods/admins to answer you.

I wasn't aware of the DMCA requests issue, but it might be a better use of energies to instead just use practical workarounds. It looks like everyone just uses Mega still? That seems like a very 2018 solution to file hosting on a site that is well-known to collect DMCA inspection because of its past.

Libraries are where knowledge flow freely, but libraries have doors that lock to keep book burners out.
