The feeling we are cultivating here is one of complete seperation from the rest of the world, which I believe is a must for any serious workings success.
This is the feeling of walking from a noisy city street into a cathedral's vast, beautiful, and silent nave. If you have felt transported somewhere else by a place's atmosphere, like a museum, church, concert, etc, you can intuit what I'm getting at. There is a chance some of your most vivid memories took place in moments like this.
So how can you create this in your home? Easy!
First you need a room.
You close the windows, darken the room and add special lighting, light candles and incense if you have them. Put in ear plugs and turn off notifications on your fucking phone.
Do your blessing ceremony, sanctifying the four walls and perhaps creating a circle. Sit in the center of it. Close your eyes.
You will not visualize the circle. First, visualize the walls around you, this should be an effortless "knowing" that the walls are there, sense their physical proximity to you. Now, do the same with the circle you have made. There are two sides to the circle, inside and outside.
At the moment, the inside and outside are the same, much like your mind inside and outside of this practice (you're probably still occasionally bothered by outside distractions or gripes over something that happened yesterday). Now that the circle is real, you may begin cleansing it.
Like incense smoke, you may visualize the energy of the world as a dirty brown-red-yellow rusty smog. It is in your lungs, mind, and space. It is the same within and outside your circle.
You may now visualize a while ball above your head, will it into being with your disgust of the smog and desire for a clean breath of air, for mental clarity, the desire that motivates you to get out of bed and shout out at people to stop yelling in the dorm hallways at 3 am on a Wednesday. This energizes the ball and it's radiating light burns all the smog within the circle, and within you.
Do this until you can take a long breath and feel the clarity course through you. Until you can hear the neighbors being loud and feel nothing in response, hear no automatic complaints or gripes in your mind. Your mind is clear, your will is yours. The outside does not effect the inside.
Once your circle is cleansed and your mind empty, you may now work, or cultivate pure energies within you to recharge.
