The belief of Islam is also similar to that of Evangelicals and Catholics. They believe that this life is a way of preparing for eternal life, a benefit bestowed on those who were obedient and followed the teachings of Allah. Those will be sent to Paradise, while the disobedient will be punished in hell.

In Islam, after death, the soul is kept waiting for the final judgment.

spiritism

For believers in spiritualism, death is not the end. Spiritualists believe that even after the death of the physical body, the spirit remains alive in a new astral plane, or reincarnated in a new body.

In spiritism, reincarnations are a new opportunity to improve and evolve your spirit. Practitioners of charity, love and goodness evolve faster and go through fewer reincarnations, unless they want to.

Religion also believes in God, but not as an entity that will judge whether people are good or bad. For them, God created the spirits without discernment of what is good or bad and, during life, this is learned.

Umbanda

In Umbanda, it is believed in reincarnation that can happen in seven different places, ruled by the orixás. After death, the spirit is drawn to one of these worlds.

Umbanda is similar to spiritism, as they believe that reincarnation is a way to evolve. Those who learned during life, do not need to reincarnate, they can choose to evolve to another plane, where they will deal with their memories and receive help from other more evolved spirits. On the other hand, people who have not learned during their lives have the chance to reincarnate.

Another option for evolved spirits is to become protectors of the less evolved ones on Earth. Evil spirits, on the other hand, can also remain trapped in this plane to disturb the living.

Candomblé

For Candomblé, souls need to fulfill their destiny. If the person dies before that, their soul will wander between heaven and earth until they become eternal and conscious beings.

So, the believers of this religion see death as a passage to another dimension, where other spirits, guides and orixás are.

Hinduism

Shiva (Supreme God of Death and Destruction)
In Hinduism, death is a passage to a new dimension. Depending on the evolution it has had, the soul may go through a period in the loka, which is paradise for the Hindus. After this period, the soul will reincarnate.

But before reincarnation, the soul will know its destiny to know what challenges it will have to overcome. So birth is the beginning of a mission that needs to be completed, which will also help pay off debts from previous lives.

It is from there that castes arise, as the most evolved souls reincarnate in the highest castes. Until the soul evolves to the point where it no longer needs to reincarnate.
