I love shit like this.

I genuinely love and enjoy the modern technologies, conveniences and comforts that capitalism and open markets have brought us. I would definitely not rather live in any time period than the one I've lived.

That being said, I feel like too much power has accumulated in the hands of very few, especially tech corporations.

As such, I really love seeing projects like this, that at least partly take back some power from the corpos and put it in the hands of the little guy. Not in some forced way where morons get shit they don't deserve, but in peer-to-peer, small community based but still meritocratic structure.

Disruption is always good.

You honestly took the words right outta my mouth, man. Technology's got its potential, but companies are doing some funny shit these days and consolidating what is surely too much power for themselves. This is the kinda shit I wish I had the tech savviness to work on myself!
