Art and occultism are deeply intertwined. I’d even go further: the way we perceive art with all its nuances, layers, and mysteries is the closest most of us ever get to directly experiencing the spiritual realm.
With that in mind, I’d love to hear from you guys:
What is your favorite esoteric work of art?
It doesn’t have to be explicitly “occult” or about esotericism. It can be any piece (painting, sculpture, poem, song, film, whatever) that hit you on a deep level and taught you something profound something that felt like a real inner lesson or revelation.
For me, it’s hands-down Orpheus and Eurydice. It strikes such a perfect chord: the power of art/music to charm even Death, the descent into the underworld (the unconscious/the hidden), the initiatory test of not looking back, and the heartbreaking fragility of faith, desire, and human limits. Pure emotional alchemy.
What’s yours and why does it resonate so strongly?
