As part of my mercury retrograde season(19th November 2025) I would love to share this somewhat recent Failure story from the Arbatel: On 9th of April 2023 I wrote to a friend "restless sleep for a week, rejecting my request for a familiar spirit, and destroying my liber spirituum" about Aratron...what lead up to to that was the work with him:
On the 21st of March 2023, I would gather a candle, a clay pot with aratron seal on it and go to the desert to do a conjuration of him. I did multiple contact and week long work with Aratron to get to know him better, this is part of my Arbatel work where I combined it with dream incubation and a formal contact using the grimoire as a starter. My desire to make my own Liber Spirituum lead me to burying the Liber Spirituum sealed up in an airtight container in the desert under the seal of aratron for one night, the next day I saw that the whole book was being eaten by worms? in a very desolate place with not much greenery or insects in the area. I was pretty bummed out by this and frustrated as I felt like my whole work with olympic spirits was dejected. The lesson out of this would be don't trust everything a spirit says just because it gives you the greenlight on it.
To say the least from all my journals at that time, I always had headache, felt lethargic, and had bad experience with Aratron during that time period. Clowns and jesters do correspond with Saturn, so there's a comedic/trolling side to all of this. To get back on all on all these memories, it is a good idea to get a feel of which planetary spirits is amenable to you, and it's not gonna be a static thing. it's good to learn it from amenable spirits like olympic rather than...a fae or something else that hate my guts lol.
What I mean by it's not static is that you can do planetary charity and other works to modify yourself or your planetary and astrological nature a bit to be more presentable to other spirits who wouldn't hate your gut but might become neutral toward you.
In retrospect, this might not be a failure story if the spirit does manifest. I guess I failed in getting what the consecration, the familiar spirits, and the things I wanted from Aratron at that time. The spirit connection and relation does grow and change! In my other posts, Aratron is there as a challenging figure but not as mean or as bullying as he first appeared here, we all grow and change as people and as spirits. This might be the important takeway from this, is that even if you do need to take a step back from Saturn or from any other planetary force then there's always a chance to approach it in the future with a new outlook on the relation between us and the spirit(s).

We have in Journals prefix for Success story, but none for the opposite, Failure story, which also happens and is sometimes worth sharing and learning from.
