Hi,
I'm Floss
A young mother of 4 and i live in the Mediterranean

I have given birth to all of my children at home, the last 3 births being just with just my partner and kids present.

I go to the best of my own drum in my life and in my Womanhood

And that is what I am so interested and amazed by, is my own womanhood
The fact that like clockwork, 28 days after this 4th birth my menstrustion returned and all the intense feelings and sensations it brought with it. I really felt like my whole body was clay the few days before my bleed- my flesh and bones were palpably readjusting.

And when my period came I had moments where I felt like I was 14 years old again, or on a grand adventure with euphoric highs. I also felt like a groundef caretaker to my month old daughter as I breastfed her and while she later napped in the sun.

All of this to say, I find this experience of being female wonderful. All the transformation and changes in my 27 years thus far are nothing short of magic to me.

I am a fermenter (i love kimchi, vinegar, koji, sake lees, fish sauce, i am fascinated with herbal beers and hope to make some soon following guidance from the book Sacred and Herbal Beers by Stephen Harrod Buhner)

And I am a gatherer (i got to know Nettle pretty well this Spring, and I love picking berries)

I had interesting experiences with Nettle seeds this spring and this sparked more interest into chemistry and alchemy- for understanding more the plants growing right outside my doorstep.

Anyways, this is my introduction so feel free to reach out to me if anything i said has sparked your mind! I hope to find discussions about the topics I am interested in:)

I might be wrong, don't know where you live, but in most of EU the healthcare is free. Why to give birth at home when you can go to hospital for free and give birth with doctors present who can make sure that if anything goes wrong, to provide care for both you and the child?

Mediterranean of course is more than just EU, but if you are in EU, that's unnecessary risk to take, especially if the healthcare is free. Giving up comfort of home in order to secure safety of giving birth is not weakness nor reduces your womanhood. Responsibility is womanly too.
