Getting rid of jar spells

Absolutely and totally theoretical
So I was very not smart and made a honey jar spell when i just started out and it didnt work and i dont know if its affecting any other aspects of my life (my love life was nonexistent and deppressing to begin with) Either way i want to get rid of it
So how do i theorettically go about that?

If you think it didn't work, and the target of your spell is out of your life, then just open the jar. Clean it out and throw it away.
I did a honey jar once for my landlord (not romantical!) When I moved out there i cleaned it out. He died of a heart attack shortly after but that's irrelevant
