Good morning everyone, I'm really happy to have found this place truthfully and I think I'm gonna try to stick around and post for a while. Prior to coming here I mostly browsed /x/ (which is a pretty shitty cesspool to begin with), but I actually found a mention of this place there when people were talking about libraries, and I discovered the Grand Library post. I had to make an account to access the links for it, and when I did I figured I'd introduce myself and participate in the community, since this seems like a place I could get along with.

I've been interested and studying the Occult for a few years now, and my interests span a lot of different disciplines and studies. To name a few:
  • Taoism (Although I haven't read into this much yet)
  • Qi-Gong (Martial arts separately as well)
  • Meditation, Mantras, Mudras
  • Tarot, Runes, Astrology, I-Ching, Geomancy (Although I haven't figured out that one yet) [Really anything divinatory]
  • Alchemy (Both herbal and mineral alchemy)
  • Hermeticism
  • Rosicrucianism
I can't really think of anything else other than that, but that should give you all a good idea of my interests and disciplines. I try to meditate regularly, although I don't force myself to, and have improved my practice to the point where I can sustain focus for about thirty minutes straight unguided. My only real problem is that I switch mudras too much during my meditations, and can't stay still for longer than two minutes even if I can hold my focus on the meditation itself for thirty.
All in all, I haven't dug through the Grand Library yet, although I'm very interested in what I'm going to turn up with the books. I love to read, and have been reading since I was a wee boi, and my favorite form of literature is occultism and the esoteric (As well as hard sci-fi for other reasons, my two favorite authors are Frank Herbert (Author of Dune) and William Gibson (Author of Neuromancer). I also write poetry occasionally, and like to steep it in symbolistic patterns that speak to the soul. All in all, I'd love to get to know this community and participate more, so you might catch me lurking around. I'd love to answer any questions from anyone interested in any of the above topics, so feel free to ask! Hope you're all having a great day, and I wish you all the best.
