Hello everyone!
I don't know exactly what to call myself, as I walk somewhere between a shadow shaman, a modern völva, and a psychopomp witch.
I follow a shamanic path between light and shadow, weaving together runes, trance journeys, and spirit work. I walk with a wolf guardian and a shadow-weaving spirit, who guide me through protection and psychopomp practices.

At the moment, I’m exploring:
– runes as tools of divination and diagnosis
– oracle and tarot work
– trance states and visionary magic
– the balance between guiding the dead and keeping the living

I keep a spiritual journal of visions, rituals, and lessons. I’m here to share, to learn and discover, and to meet others walking the in-between roads.

Yeah, I thought that it is because of my little experience in that field (I read that some of the people here are practising for over 30 years), but apparently it's not so uncommon. Thank you for the warm welcome <3

Welcome here indeed!
By visionary magic do you practices like those described by Jan Fries (Vision Magick) or does it mean something else?

By visionary magic I mean trance and inner-vision work — receiving symbols, journeys, and teachings in visionary states, and then weaving them into my practice. It’s about walking in the worlds of images and spirit, not just reading symbols but living inside them.

This is quite interesting in my case, as I have aphantasia — so I don’t “see” in the usual way, but I trust the images I receive. They come as something beyond my conscious control, which makes them feel even more real and trustworthy.

I’m only at the beginning of the road, so most of it is fairly intuitive. My cards (tarot and oracle) keep pointing me towards trusting that path, even though my analytical mind still seeks “food” in books and teachings. Im not sure if I'm in a good place, as everybody seems to be soooo structured and in the systems :D

Many authors put an emphasis on the intuition and doing what works for oneself, for example those close to what is called chaos magick. Other authors are more strict on following a system. The ways are many.

I find it important to be able to share experiences and practices, and for that a common ground is useful.
