I have been reading " Understanding Vassago" and it seems as if there is alot of similarities between Vassago and Hacate. I get that they seem to be the the same archetype, but could there be more of a connection?

I am mostly familiar with Vassago from the description in the lemegeton:
The Third spirit is a mighty prince, being of ye same Nature as Agares, he is called Vassago, This spirit is of a good nature, & his office is to declare things past and to come; and to discover all things hidden or lost & he governeth 26 Legions of spirits.
What are the similarities with Hekate you're seeing in the book?

Both are of the liminal spaces. Both seem to be tied to devination. They both demand respect to be able to properly be worked with. The same crystals ( moonstone, labradorite, and fluorite) are both tied to them. Both seem to be strengthened by the moon phase. It seems like alot of similarities.

Hmm, I feel like those could apply to a lot of spirits, not just Hekate and Vassago. You should check out the book Hekate: Liminal Rites (available in the library); it has a lot of specific info about her symbols aggregated from multiple sources.
