Hello Everyone, Bitrot here.

I discovered this website while researching more about Kaballah and works of Abraham Abufalia and practical Jewish meditation techniques.

Apart from that, I am a bible initiate (New and the Old Testament) and learning the Torah with commentaries. Currently learning Biblical Hebrew grammar to also do a grammatical analysis on the verses,

Glad to join this community and looking forward to learn and contribute!

Welcome to WF Bitrot.

I’d love for you to make a post on Jewish meditation techniques in the future. That would be a fascinating and helpful topic, but no pressure of course. I wish you luck on your Biblical Hebrew studies and hope that you are able to make some wonderful connections here. 🦇✨

Welcome.

Can you please explain more how did you become Bible initiate? And what does that means to you?
Sure, Going through a near death experience, I discovered New Testament verses and felt "God" (for the lack of better words and inability to articulate) for the first time in life, this initiated me into the New Testament.

Diving deep into the verses and reading different perspectives, I found some genuine points which contend Jesus Christ's position as the messiah.

I believe in Spirit that Jesus Christ is the messiah and the word of God in human flesh. The only way to realize this truth in flesh (logical terms) I felt was to study the bible and this initiated me to read (and research) the Old testament.

Thus, I read the verses and try to study them to the best of my ability to realize this truth logically and this is what being a bible initiate means to me, to read and study the scriptures to the best of my abilities, understand in first principles the derivations of the laws and customs and follow them as I find them.

On this journey I keep finding fascinating texts such as the Kaballah (I came to it through OrHaChaim's commentaries as Gematria expounds verses through a "mystical" lens) and such, but the aim remains to do a intellectually honest study of the Christian Bible.

Thanks for asking Morell!

Thanks for the welcome Helena, Looking forward to sharing my experiences and making connections here!

I found the book "Meditation And Kabbalah" by Aryeh Kaplan a fascinating primer on this topic.

This is a great community and you will definitely find interesting people, posts and conversations. (y)
There are lots of books for you here as well.

Interesting. I work with the New Testament because of the profound spiritual effects. The energy of it is much stronger and deeper than the OT, except for the psalms which fry the mind really well.

Long story short since it's the introductions section anyway. Work with the books of Moses, spam the psalms (all 150 daily, go for streaks 3/7/12/40/90 days), read the Hebrew god names on beads. You'll get a new meaning to profound spiritual effects.:)

I've been practicing Abulafia's gates and the Sepher Chaye Olam Haba for the past year, truly the most rewarding Kabbalah i've ever had the pleasure of working. Welcome, excited to get your input on practical kabbalah.
