Hello all, I’m very happy to be here. I am relatively new to the path and I am likely difficult to define spiritually. I consider myself a student of plant work and cunning-craft, but I have an interest in most things occult, esoteric, gnostic, and hermetic. At the present my main focus is working with plant spirits and other spirits of the green realm, getting my day-to-day practices figured out, as well as studying herbalism and plant magic.
My background was Protestant Christian, but an unexpected meeting with a spirit in the middle of the night sent me spiraling and I realized there was no one I felt was reliable, that I could turn to for any real help or answers. That was a few years ago in the midst of my deconstruction. I started reaching out, casting a wide net to lots of different types of practitioners. I got very few responses, though the ones I got were helpful in a way. My path began out of that lack of cunning-folk, or “service magicians” in the words of Dr. Al Cummins, who would be able to help with such things.
I am looking forward to engaging with, sharing knowledge, and learning from like-minded folks. Many blessings to you all.
