It is possible, if not likely, that her particularly strong sexual drive was the direct manifestation of the imbalance. The Kundalini energy is, itself, at the root of sexual energy. Perhaps, wittingly or unwittingly, she engaged in practices that awakened it and was unprepared for the manifestations thereof. If this is the case, then it is likely that things will self-regulate and return to a balanced state. To engage in ANY further activities along previous lines, without being attached to a reputable teacher (or establishing a foundation in a legitimate tradition) is, at best, foolhardy and, at worst, extremely dangerous. (ESPECIALLY any that are not fully researched, understood, and assimilated by her. Those with unknown symbols and untranslated foreign languages in their presentation should not, under any circumstances, be attempted.)
It is a well-documented phenomenon that an individual -freed from neurosis, occult-originated obsessions/phenomenon, etc. - will experience a temporary sense of loss or similar uneasiness. This will fade as repair progresses. She needs to allow that process to take place, perhaps with the aid of a licensed therapist/legitimately initiated practitioner. Then, and ONLY then, should she return to light-duty spiritual practices under the previously described conditions.
