I'm Searchingforthefern, y'all can call me Search. My name's based on the Eastern European myth about the Summer Solstice and the Fern Flower.
I've been a practitioner of witchcraft and various occult methodologies since the 90's, and I teach and do professional divination. A friend recommended this forum, and I'm seriously impressed! Can't wait to look around more and maybe talk a bit!
In terms of interests, I'm a fan of most forms of divination, specifically sortilege and geomancy. So, cards and coins and dice and bones, but also things like the I Ching and western geomancy. I also really like Norse rune magic, and I'm also studying various forms of Chinese and Japanese sorcery.
My first book on witchcraft I ever read was Harry Wedeck's Treasury of Witchcraft (I was about 10 years old), and I've studied Wicca and other traditions of modern witchery as well. Currently, I'm looking into witchcraft centered around queer men specifically, something unconnected to heteronormative fertility myths and male/female sex magic.
