Hi guys so my name is claire and i am from toronto... i'm pretty new to the whole magic thing and to be honest i really don't know much or where to get started i guess thats why i joined this site

so basically i heard some other SWs who work with me talking about tarot and reading into the future and some other stuff about witchcraft and protection spells and stuff which i am interested in cause as a sex worker sometimes i get into sticky situations and stuff and i'd like to avoid that and also make more money hopefully

also i kinda heard one of them talk about wizards form maybe??? or something like that, i don't know, i heard the word forum for sure which is what i googled to find this site

so ya i basically can't rly talk to them cause they are all older than me and not really super close with me

First of all, welcome. :)

I’ll make a post on your tarot thread with some advice about that when I can, but I figured this was the more appropriate thread for this advice:

Get the books Sorcerer’s Secrets, and Protection & Reversal Magick both by Jason Miller. They are very beginner friendly and don’t cost very much. Sorcerer’s Secrets will teach you many of the basic concepts and practices to help you begin learning practical magic, and Protection & Reversal Magick will teach you the important bits about keeping yourself safe - both from spiritual dangers and from mundane ones.

There’s a lot more beyond those two books, and a lot of directions you can take things beyond them - from Christian magic to Celtic or Norse magic to all kinds of other things. Depends on your interests and what you feel drawn to and care about. But those two books will help you lay a decent foundation for your future learning.

He also has a book called Financial Sorcery for making more money, which may interest you. Do read Sorcerer’s Secrets first though. It’ll help prepare you for money work. :)

SW definitely comes with risks and you’re wise to take precautions. Ive known other SWers and I know some of the stories. Stay safe and if you have any questions I’ll do my best to help you.

Welcome, and to add to this, you can find some of the books for easy download here: [Official] - The Book Thread

Take your time, learn at your pace, and if you have any questions, that's what WF is for.
