hello.. im very new to witchcraft and occult stuff, and id really like to learn more and for someone to help me practice it. i've managed to figure out a few protection spells, but i honestly don't know if i can trust the internet for spells and just general tips for being a beginner. and i honestly have no idea how forums work, but if anyone's willing to help or share ideas please feel free to comment!! maybe suggesting an accurate book, or youtube video, anything helps!

honestly the forums are really confusing haha but im gonna log-in on my laptop and figure it out on a bigger screen! (˘︶˘).｡*♡
yes haha, in all honesty my main source was tiktok at first and everything on there was just love spells and stuff. you know, with the red pen and candles and stuff? genuinely the only thing i can find on there!! i really wanna get into witchcraft, and occults.. but actually have good information about it first, you know?
if you have any tips and stuff please feel free to DM me, if that's a thing in forums.. (can you tell im new to this (~_~;))

I'll be honest, practice varies so much and so many are a little confused about their own doings that the most reliable sources are either some ancient texts (only the good translations) and the spiritual experiences that will come to you eventually. The most important thing to keep in mind with spiritual practice is: see without judgement. Do no look for signs, or they will not come to you. The only expectations you should have in regards to spiritual experiences is "it does not leave me scattered, unnecessarily exhausted, or confused". Just a standard for well-being. Everything else, you must leave up to the Source of the world and its many spiritual manifestations.

Yeah, it's way better to use forums on computer than on phone, though I can manage both devices.
In the core Magic is using your mind, your willpower to alter probability and reality/fate. So practicing your mind, dyscipline, focus and will are the core. So meditation is great. Also some for of daily ritual is great discipline training, Some sort of banishing ritual os great starter as it is ritual to clear the space and the mind. (daily physical exercise also helps a lot)
Then it probably depends on the path/school/current/whatever you choose to follow...

Welcome to WF. Yeah I was confused by how to get to the witchcraft threads when I was new too. If you’re on a tablet or computer just go the top where it says Forum and click on it. Then scroll down to the witchcraft section. When you click on that you should see a ton of witchy threads. The library here also has various books on the topic.
As for beginner witchcraft book suggestions I would recommend Mask of Misrule, Call of the Horned Piper, Cunning Folk and Familiar Spirits, Mastering Witchcraft, Traditional Witchcraft a Cornish Book of Ways, The Devils Dozen, The Black Toad, A Witch Alone, and books by Robin Artisson. Troy books has wonderful options on folkloric, historical, and modern witchcraft worth getting also. Some of the ones I named can be found there.
