I'm sorry if there's already a thread like this. But so far when I've done any type of magick, I come up with muddy or unclear results. I don't know whether its because my targets may be too far away, or whether because I become distracted afterwards and forget about it. Ty.

It can take time to get solid and frequent results. Just as work out, some people get solid results at the beginning then get stagnation for many months/years.

Other people struggle the first months/years and then get impressive results.

The thing seems to come from your mind and how you let yourself believe magick is real and powerful.

E.A Koetting said he had minor/loose results when he forced too hard on the magick. Then he changed his mind and just took a playful/fun gaze on his visualisations. He instantly got better results.

Thanks, this is actually really helpful. I think I realized what I was doing wrong; not enough focus and not really entering a trance state. Sigils at least somewhat help with the focus issue.

And also, that I should probably stick to actually reading books instead of videos.

This is akin to asking how to have a complete, omniscient knowledge of the universe and all its inner workings.

You will have a perfect understanding of magick, when you have a perfect understanding of the universe/all things.

It will not happen, not in this life, at least.

You can achieve a more complete understanding and more clarity with more practice, and more connection with your inner self and the world around you. That is a lifelong process of trial and error, what works for me won't work for you. In fact, I have kind of given up on trying to understand. If my work pushes me towards better outcomes, that's good enough for me.

Get it out of your head. Don't rely on internal monologues or visualizations. Do the actual spell, speaking out loud and doing physical motions with physical objects of some kind. This will help you make sure you're not just thinking about something and then expecting results from it. Even if you're just lighting a candle or writing names on a bay leaf to put in your shoe, when you do those things you are 100% certain you actually did the spell. Coming up with an actual sigil or spell will also make sure you have some clear idea of what you're trying to do. If it's all in your head, you're probably just imagining or "willing" things, and then you can expect sketchy results. The same goes for anything with spirits, gods, demons: if it isn't something you are doing an actual ritual, spell, or something real to contact, assume whatever happens is just your imagination. If your methods are junk, expect your results to be junk too. Especially when it's important, give it the kind of attention and work something important deserves.

This wasn't the actual problem. Everything I did was with sigils, cards, or something else. The only thing I didn't do before was keep a journal (which I am now.)
