How to interact with a picatrix talisman?

Do we worship it as a deity's idol or are there other ways to interact with it?

Depends if you want to destroy it or use it.
If you want to use it, you make friends with the ruler of it.
If you want to get rid of it you open the talisman, let your subconscious read it and then destroy it and despose of it in a stream of water. And for that you can just flush it down the toilet or a river nearby.

What type of Picatrix talisman are you talking about? The book gives you instructions on the times to make astrological talismans and I believe there's a website that sells golden talismans based on the images of the mansions of the moon.
All talismans are meant to be worn (as far as I know at least). You don't worship anything.

Like you would with a human. Be nice, get to know its feel, its presence, accept its task wilingly and learn to work with the flow.
The intent used to create the talisman is the path and the answer.
