Hello everybody, everymind and everysoul,
butt-hurt crybabies, tough guys and trolls.
I was measuring my manly physique* and thought I should find a way to put these 4 centimeters to use, so I did.
Let's star(t):
The Pentagram – as you know – is a symbol of Venus.
A number associated with Venus is 4,
because if you start from earth (1) and go via the moon (2) and Mercury (3) the number of Venus is 4
You can see this in the Tarot where the 4th card (with the number III) is the Empress and she is Venus, and its letter is Dalet: the fourth letter of the Hebrew alphabet. This letter signifies the door through which we enter the Mystery of this Sacred Symbol.
I hope that sentence was confusing enough for an intro.
You see, it brings darkness to my Heart when I see a lazy “artist” draw an ugly Star. We are talking about Sacred Geometry folks, and it really isn't that hard.
All you need to create a perfect Pentagram is a ruler (and.. a pen or a pencil.. and some paper..and your hands...)
Start by drawing a good cross, because the Sign of the Lord is the beginning.
With this we acknowledge that God sent down His Love to us here on Earth. Therefore the first line that we will trace is a vertical line of 4 centimeters.
Take heed though, and understand that while God is present in everything He is not directly seen by us. Thus this first vertical line will not be a part of the final Symbol. You can erase it later on (but that's kinda blasphemous..)
Now, I said a good cross, because it has to be made according to the rules of (this) Sacred Geometry. A minute ago I mentioned that 4 is the number of Venus, and maybe you thought “hold up... it's 7 you idiot..”, and you're not wrong. The reason I didn't start this post with seven is because I'm applying it to the Cross:
The vertical line is 4 and the horizontal line is traced 2.5 centimeters from the bottom ( = 1.5 centimeters from the top)
If you were to draw only the cross, then the vertical line would be 4 and the horizontal line would be 3 centimeters – so 4 & 3 for 7 – but since we are going to draw the Star, this horizontal line will be 4 centimeters as well.
Now, at the base of the vertical line you trace a horizontal line of 2.5 centimeters.
That's it yo. Now you have all the points and measurements to trace a perfect pentagram with 5 lines of 4, surrounded by a pentagon of 5 lines of 2.5:
