I don’t have a goal, yet i think about evocation.

Hello everyone, i wanted to post this awhile ago but now i want to post it, Maybe you guys can say something intresting.

Last time i evoked was 21, it’s been going good and still going good this time, but one thing that i think about alot is, the evocations, the tools, the conjurations, planetary days and hours to match the spirit, yet at ”the end of the day” i ask myself ”what is the goal/meaning of evoking this spirit?” And i cannot answer that question.

What i’m trying to say is, i think about evocation alot (more lately), yet i don’t have a goal/purpose to achieve if that makes sense, i have everything i need (thank God), yet i still think about evocations.

Why is that?
It doesnt really bother me, i’m just curious, Maybe it could be that i’m eager/anxious to get back into the circle, i don’t really now for sure.

Advice/Tips/Thoughts are appriciated!

the spirit being matched... is you. You are the spirit which is being matched with the auspicious times, tools, and conjurations.

But, please a word of caution, please don't forget that "matching-spirit" can happen in two ways; resonance or discord. Both cultivate an arousal of heart-and-mind, which in turn cultivates powerful ritual and magic. Just because an individual is drawn to dark forces, that doesn't mean the individual is themselves malicious, hostile, etc...

I get it. I wonder if, like me, it’s the missing of the excitement, that visceral sense that something real is happening.
Not saying other parts of your practice aren’t real, but evocation? That rush of communion with something ancient, powerful, and present? That hits different. What else gives you that? Jumping out of airplanes? (I mean, that’s pretty awesome too.)

Have you ever tried not asking them for things? Sometimes I just ask to be taught. I don’t know how strict you are with your Solomonic practice, so maybe this doesn’t fit, but for me, some spirits, even the infernal ones, can be incredible teachers. It might be worth reflecting on that if you haven’t already.

And if that doesn’t resonate, maybe don’t evoke just to evoke. Make an offering instead. That’s not evocation per se, but it’s still connection, and sometimes that act alone stirs something inside you that leads to your next real working.

Anyway, just a few scattered thoughts from someone who gets where you’re coming from. If none of it lands, burn it. But maybe it sparks something.

You could engage in angelic workings. Those tend to be well-oriented towards personal growth and change, instead of going to the demons and conjuring them for no reason at all. Maybe one of the Mercurial angels wants to teach you something about plants or rocks or whatever.

I will do some angelic workings these months to come, i will focus on Venusian angels, since i have plans in the future for evoking dukes if that makes sense?
