You're summoning the Deity for what? Are you just checking to see if he will come, if he will hear you? They don't like that. You call for a specific request. If you are not mentally able to feel the presence, then you can only look at the fulfillment of the request. And never call them for fun. It is like you come to the president's reception and just say, oh, well, I have come because I have found out how to get to you, the president will ask for what purpose, and what will you answer? Just to waste your time?))))
Create an atmosphere for yourself to tune in to the ritual. I don't work with Lucifer, but if I take black Slavic magic as an analogy, then you should act like this. Silence, peace, a candle burns on the altar, preferably black, or a reversed church candle. It is believed that when you burn an inverted candle, it is pleasant to the dark forces. Light heavy incense or herbs. I think tobacco would work very well. Pour strong alcohol into a glass. And start reading the invocations. For the most part, we use the reading of invocations to tune in to the right energy. You should feel a rush, goosebumps, or cold, usually dark forces with heavy cold energy. You may feel cold. You may feel a stirring inside. Physical signs are possible. The candle will begin to burn unusually. Crackling, footsteps. And immediately, voice that you have invited the Deity to treat your tobacco, alcohol, and ask to fulfill your request. Say your request, thank it, and let the Deity go. Alcohol and ashes or what else you will put on the altar for a treat according to your own feelings, take it to the place where the dark energy dwells. Crossroads, cemeteries, places with negative energy, where accidents often happen and so on. Leave everything there and go home without turning around. But, by the way, I'm sorry, but I don't think Lucifer's interested in you. You have nothing to offer him because you're new. So I would start by calling his servants, his employees.

Nobody apart from @Baranova Alya has taken the trouble to reply to this thread, so I'll give you my (predominantly theoretical) take.

I'm guessing here that you've reached out to Lucifer to establish long-term contact in order to obtain guidance or patronage, not for a specific real-life problem. Furthermore, I'm assuming that you didn't get up at 3 a.m. (a nocturnal equivalent of the traditional planetary hours?) for two months just to satisfy your curiosity and see if magic was real because such newbies are usually loath to make any effort in the first place.

One book I would like to recommend is David Thompson's "The Magik of Lucifer" because it's beginner-friendly and accessible. Lucifer is a complex character, and you could spend months researching him and exploring Luciferianism which seems to have become a quasi-religion for a certain LHP segment. Thompson's book, on the other hand, keeps things simple and hands-on.

As far as invocation is concerned, both E.A. Koetting and Damon Brand recommend first immersing oneself for a few day in your subjective idea of the entity you plan to summon. What is Lucifer to you? The Light Bringer? A terrible duke of hell? An infernal liberator of repressed feelings? Why do you intend to call specifically him and not a Goetia demon or an angel? The idea is to attune yourself to Lucifer before you try to invoke him in order to get a 'feel' for anything that's supposed to come through. This preparatory immersion can take the shape of thinking or writing about him or imagining what he's like, it doesn't have to involve academic research.

@Baranova Alya already mentioned candles & incense; demonolaters typically have an entire altar dedicated to their patron. Some know-alls on Reddit routinely pooh-pooh such efforts and claim that it's enough to do it all in your head - I always wonder if they have such superhuman powers of visualisation that they are able to recreate the temple they are planning to work in, the robes they are going to wear, the implements they will be using, the lighting given off by twenty candles, the smell of a specific incense, etc. in their heads in crystal clarity and down to the minutest detail while struggling to remember the words of their incantations and remaining receptive to any supernatural impressions that might arrive. Having a 'material base' for your ritual, and if that only means lighting a candle, puts less strain on your ritual focus and leaves you free to really sense the entity you're calling. So I really wouldn't underestimate the power of an appropriate atmosphere as @Baranova Alya mentioned.

Evocation is another matter. All the books I've read so far maintain that evocation is difficult and even highly experienced mages don't get visuals at all, only a 'feeling' the presence of an entity, or they experience it as a tingling or warmth; there is also the school of thought claiming the entity always comes when evoked, whether you sense it or not. Anyway, why do you want to invoke and evoke within a single operation? Again, I have only book knowledge but most authors would say that such a feat was impossible, that you can perfom either invocations or evocations in the space of a single ritual. Maybe you're attempting too much here.

I'm not the best to answer this question since I don't deal much with the grimoires etc.

In the past I experimented sometimes with the conjurations from grand grimoire and grimoire verum. The conjurations and then dismissals afterwards. This was actually enough to get practical results. I felt the presence as energy, nothing visually, and I saw some in my dreams. What I asked later materialized one way or another, sometimes even very fast, within hours, which was quite shocking and impressive.

The process itself was based on my main practices with the psalms and Quran verses, followed by rituals that contained the conjurations and then dismissals. Lots of meditation to get the intution going, a good idea is to also work with the Tarot cards, they help you develop some senses.

In some cases when I did the rituals I was able to get some thoughts through intuition and then afterwards at around 3:15am I was in a weird state where I was in bed and could communicate with something and felt the answers coming.

I would say that the grimoires and invocations, conjurations, can potentially lead to pretty bad outcomes as well. The people making weird requests, acting strange, and or having something lurk around, attach to them, there can be bad side effects. Through friend connections there were people who ended up getting possessed just from experimenting with the grimoires and I had a couple of strange cases too. This definitely needs some serious planning, research, study, before trying. You better take your time and perhaps study from somebody who can guide you through. It can be a difficult to find the right mentor, who is genuinely nice and not doing it for some weird purpose, perhaps there are some on the forums here who can help you a lot.

Thanks so much! I’m really excited to explore working with some other demons too, like Clauneck. I finally have a reason to dive into this. I appreciate your help!
