improve relationship with spirits

Greetings to all!

What techniques or methods exist to improve the relationship with the spirits with whom you want to work?
I ask this because I have read in different sources of information that, before asking something from a spirit, it is important to improve the relationship with it. How can this be done? Offerings such as incense, prayers, etc.?

In my infernal days, what was said to deepen connections with the spirit was:
Offerings of food and drink.
Public praise.
Appropriate Qaballistic incense or oils, plants.

To get ahold of one was through someone channeling after a week of listening to and speaking enns.

Meditating and visualizing the sigil.

The same would go for any other spirit, Celestial or other.
