Is my ritual plan sound?

I'm planning my first working, and would like some guidance. The ritual is an open invitation to the locals to help me with luck and intuition in a task to come. My plan is to cleanse the area with sage and salt, set up a salt circle, and employ some pre-prepared sigils for what I want and what I offer. The terms I intend is an offering of burnt tobacco every day for the stipulated period, plus an offering of tobacco when the task is concluded. I intend on using cardology as the medium to commune with any interested party I may attract, to get a "deal" or "no deal" answer. I've already done a couple card readings, and they seem to communicate that I am well prepared theoretically and that my center is in the right place. Anything I should watch out for, or particularly mind?
