Routine: same as yesterday, meditate until I feel I am in the right state of mind, then concentrate and affirm Leaf #1 lovingly.

I have found it helpful during meditation to imagine a ball of light building in me, and when I concentrate on the plant imagine the light coming through my hand or my chest to the leaf.

No significant results yet. I am taking pictures every day as well as doing it roughly the same time of day. I will post pictures at the end of the experiment.

How are your leaves looking?

I put mine in a closet about 21 hours ago. Checked them 7 hours and 4 hours ago, and all 3 are curled, drying, and beginning to brown. There may be slightly less browning on my focus leaf, but not enough to call a significant difference.

If things continue dying so quickly I may begin again, this time placing leaves in sunlight, water, or both to prolong the living stage of them past detachment. My climate is not usually a gentle one.

All are still green, my type of leaf is thicker and has a shine coat on it, maybe that also aids to preserve them.

Not sure if this is worth noting, but I have gotten headaches the last two days after doing this, I don’t have headaches regularly so it’s a little odd. Can’t pin it confidently due to the experiment however.

For me a leaf is a Canadian. I still have trouble not to laugh when I read the title of the thread.

After more reading and some thought, another theme of this book is plants act as a medium and reflect our emotions and emotional state.

the leaves browning early could be tied into your state if you experience constant anxiety, pain, worries, or any negative emotion

then again it could just be the type of leaf 😆

just food for thought

Not long before people will warn you that your plants are possessed by vampiric demons sucking you dry. Plants are not your familiar. You know the drill by now.

I once planted an euonymus europaeus in my garden for the sole purpose that a hamadryad should move in. Which she did. I called the plant Hieronymus, life was good.

Maybe not a familiar but more like a mirror. I don’t have a comprehensive understanding on familiars in the first place to be fair. My occult knowledge is rather lacking.

Nobody cares anyway. The green thumb is not a myth. Plants love it when you talk to them, they enjoy your affection.

Then again in Germany we say the dumbest farmer will harvest the largest potatoes. No comprehensive understanding whatsoever needed. Except entities living in the plants. That is a complete different story.

We made a magical entity to take care of our plants. Her hair is fire-red and she turned out to be very small. I sometimes see her with her watering pot between the flowers. Her name is Wurwe, short for Wurzelweib.
