Does overlapping the letters L and S case something to happen at all? Does overlapping them in a circle cause anything to happen at all?

Does outing them next to each other within a circle, with or wihtou arrows and a dot cause anything / something to happen at all?

Does overlapping L and S together with arrows and a dot cause something / anything to happen at all, regardless of circle or no circle? Does it depend at all?

How can one lessen the affects / effects of the linking sigil and or stop them / prevent them from happening?
How can / does one protect oneself and others around them / people they know and or care about / respect?

I have read stories where the affects / effects are a bit wild and or bad so to speak. While others experienced small things and or nothing at all. Just by drawing it. Does just merely drawing it cause something to happen at all? Does it depend on one's own belief? What if one draws the sigil and or something very / extremely similar to it without knowing what it is? Will / would something / anything happen then at all?

Does just merely imaging it cause something / anything to happen at all? From time to time my mind has made me involuntarily imagine it, even on walls and furniture. Does it depend on one's own belief?

Does merely seeing it and or thinking about it cause something / anything to happen at all? Or does it, once again, just depend on one's own beliefs?

I had read that someone saw it in plastered all over a blog / website that they were reading, and got a head ache. Coincidence or no?
How can one forget about it forever permanently? Especially what it looks like and the subject matter forever?

The dickmoo's linking sigil is kinda like the game (you lost btw), the act of drawing it (even if you do a poor or messy job of it) makes it work. The only way to let things not be affected by it is to not draw it or imagine it in the first place. Imagining it only lets it do stuff so long as you hold it's image in your mind's eye, but just like an earworm song getting rid of a mental image isn't always easy. Honestly it's really not the best idea to play around with other people's sigils in the first place, since you can't know exactly what they do beyond the very basic aspects.

TBH the dickmoo is kinda silly nowadays since they basically gave up on developing further after making the linking sigil. If you really want to do chaos magic stuff the IoT is way better from what I hear. DKMU is just a bunch of larpers and schizos playing at magic nowadays.

I thought things had to have intent and or belief to work. And when I drew it once and on the several times my brain made me involuntarily imagine nothing (thankfully) has ever happened. So my belief in it working is not really there, but I wonder if it is in small part because of a small fear perhaps.

I don’t think you have acquired and understood the basics of chaos sigil magic yet, so I’d recommend studying “Practical Sigil Magic: Creating Personal Symbols for Success” by Frater U∴D∴ (half a dozen free copies available on annas-archive.org) and possibly also “Liber Null and Psychonaut” by Peter J. Carroll to get a solid theoretical grounding in this field, you’ll find answers to most of the questions you’ve posted here.

A sigil needs to be activated or ‘charged’, before that it’s inert and won’t do anything. It’s a good idea to play around with various sentences of desire and experiment with turning them into sigils so you’ll have some drawing practice under your belt before performing sigil magic in earnest. Don’t overthink the proces. In my opinion, it’s best to try out several rough drafts first using all the letters, select the one which looks most promising to you and then simplify it so that individual letters won’t be discernible anymore; some authors also suggest inserting decorative squiggles, or putting the sigil into some kind of border (I like to use circles here) to make focussing on your sigil easier. The final result should look impressive to you, a symbol for your indefatigable will as a magician. The sigil is effective because you will it to be, not because it’s drawn up according to some people’s advice you’ve read somewhere on the internet, and this includes my reply as well.

There have been endless debates about avoiding the dreaded lust for results. Attitudes have relaxed considerably since these books were written, and most will say now it’s ok to remember the original desire (which will persist anyway) but that it’s best to avoid thinking about any magic you may have employed to achieve its fulfillment.
