So i got a friend a deity mystery box. I had no idea what was in it neither did my friend. But I didn't know what to get her for her birthday and asked if she'd be interested in one. She said sure. I ordered one from a site and had it shipped to her. Today her birthday arrived so she opened the box on video chat. It was a Loki themed one. I didn't specify the deity both my friend and I decided to go with "Choose for me" as am option when asked what deity to pick.
...they had a box of candles that were charged to "calm the chaos in your life." Apparently invoking Loki.
...I laughed at this...I can see the logic. A chaos deity would after all know how to deal with chaos. But...it's Loki. He's not exactly who I'd call if I want less chaos. I've worked with him before because I had a mindset that he could help me get used to chaos. He's just too unpredictable in my experience if you want less of that. He seems more like the type of deity that if you asked for less chaos he'd cause more of it to make you learn to get used to it rather then lessen the amount in your life. Assuming he'd help and not just want to cause more for the lols.
What do yall think? Would yall ask a deity to cause less of something in your life that they are associated with? I think it's a weird concept. To me if you want less of something you should call on that concepts opposite not on the entity that's associated with it to ask for less of it. Like if you wanted less chaos you should call on a deity of order. Maybe some circumstances with some concepts you might can get away with calling on the entity associated with it? Like if you have frequent miscarriages you might can call on a deity associated with that and give an offering to ask them to not help cause one. There is some logic in making offerings to bribe a deity or entity to stay away I guess.
